The Ultimate Universe does indeed complete what Legacy should of been graphically, but doesn't doesn't address any of the other major problems wrong with this title.
It's amazing what a (at the time heh) high end Nvidia 7900 video card can do. Some scenes the ship move, others the camera moves and there's a preprogrammed scripted sequence. After capturing the game footage I cobbled it together using Final Cut on my G5 Mac.

If you could have recreated the battle damage to the Enterprise also, all you would then need is the actors added and it would be pretty seemless. Nice work!
Unfortunately it isn't. Legacy has no "reverse gear". It's simply an advert using 100% in-game graphics. Technically it could be done but at the time we were still fiddling with the mission editor. Currently to build an in-game cut scene of this complexity would take A LONG TIME. heh.
Well you never see the Enterprise and Excelsior moving in one shot until Excelsior is making it's way to the doors in which case the Enterprise is simply rotating.
Well aren't they blinking kinda strange while the video was proceeding backwards? I had 2 options... either reverse the model (which I didn't have the time to do - this was actually plan "A") or reverse the video.

what about just outside spacedock, just before enterprise gos to warp you see the excelsior come round the corner of spacedock.

While you see the Enterprise going in reverse, observe the flashing collision lights.
