Trains, Track and inner base is Styrene (painted and decal details), Scenery is styrofoam with crushed foam flocking, acrylic paints, cardstock buildings.
Be cool - if you pulled the tab - inserted it in the other side - to form a looped toothed belt
Tiny motor and LiPo battery to pull it - train would disappear around the back of the case (no track or guide needed if the belt was correct) - and the train would reappear
Hmm what if you made it into a wind-up toy with delayed tension release? Eg, those wind up toys. I imagine the tension power is enough to drive a a small gearbox hooked to a belt feed (think: cassette tape speed). This could be small enough to fit into a 'large barn' looking object. Just sayin'.
@DanTheCaptain Thanks for your comment. We would like to make this one run on a loop of track, but the area inside the glasses case is too small and the track curves would need to be too sharp. We do have other layouts (same 1:900 scale trains) that run on 4" dia circle or 4"x7" oval track. Just look at our other youtube videos or tiny-trains "dot" net Thanks!
@Sillyzombie666 This statement in itself is why I feel bad for model railroading. Everything costs from, if your in a junk shop mainly, 20 up to 500-600. I stopped buying model trains when MTH put out the steam locomotives I always wanted but the price was in the 100-200 range. Way out of the hands of a teenager.
@OriginalAlphathewolf ya i know what you mean but with g scale my family has gotten some gret deals. years ago the marshels clothing chain was selling lgb toy train brand at ok prices then they were selling $100 sets for $20 $50 cars for $3imean my dads friend had like 7 toytrain cow engines lol

i like! one problem thought. didn't you think of making the train go around in a oval shape and be electronically operated? that would be so cool!
