  • damn! how many did you catch that day?

  • some times they like them on top and others on bottom so always have 2 poles ready because tying on a lure while this is going on is like walking by a hundred dollar bill on floor and not stopping lol

  • next time throw a storm wildeye swim bait, and there wont be any waiting for bite! And i love the background noises greek greek, ahh ahh play this when im home in the winter and look at old pictures.

  • my first yr on lake mead, from georgia, havent found the shad and friends only caught catfish. i could use a guided trip badly. whats that gonna run me with 2 ppl?

  • Love to use topwaters when the stripers do this!

  • theres nothing like bing out in the boat in the silence, and then hearing that splashing noise coming froma distance. no matter what kind of fishing im doing, i pull up all my rods, tie on a 3/4 oz slab and a shallow running crank bait, and haul ass straight to the fish.

where i fish, sometimes the schools are white bass and other times they are stripers. the slabs and shallow cranks work well for both.

but to catch the big ones, you need to fish below all of the surface fish. trust me.

  • what part of lake mead is that

  • Boulder basin, back in the wash

  • there are alot of small schoolies in Lake Mead, these were smaller younger fish. But there are bigger schoolies in the lake and they get fat come fall time. The reason why they werent all over my lure is twofold. First of all, the bait i was throwing on my casting rig was too big. Secondly, there was a tremendous amount of shad. Harder to get a bite when there are millions of baitfish coraled into a cove.

  • hey wassup man is that close to stewarts point?

  • no, other end of the lake near the wash, not close to echo bay

  • Where, what part of the lake is this? time of the day?

  • boulder basin, wash area, early morning first thing.

  • for CA all of july is good for boils 6am to 12noon then 8pm to midnight

  • at lake mead i would say more like dawn to 8am, and the dusk for about an hour is best. it slows down after that. Its a quick morning bite at mead, then they go down.

  • just a couple days ago, it was July 21.

  • what time of the year was this boil, bro?
