This game isn't that hard to finish quickly. Even if you go for all the emeralds this game can easily be completed within half an hour, and yes I have beaten it.

So I just watched this again. Nice trick on Sky Base 2. I used to do a trick on the final boss where Sonic would stay on the left side of Robotnik's platform and constantly attack him. Lots of flashing lights with that trick.

When I was 6 (or 7, I forgot which), Sky Base 2 was the farthest I ever got. I was doing rather well with collecting the emeralds, although I forgot how many I collected.

Sneaky trick on Sky Base 2! A great way to get a purely high score, but for a true speed run you might want to delay running through the turnpike at the end so it doesn't take so long to give you that 300,000 point bonus! Hard luck in losing that life on the final boss.

When I was 10, I used to finish the game with all the gems and lifes doing more than 1'000'000 points...

but it's awesome to see hidden passages in the levels
