At first I was like, "hmm wtf is this?" and then I heard the drums come in goin "kick hat snare hat hat kick snare hat" and so on, at which point I went "ahh yess.. fuck yes..." I don't know whether to congratulate you for the first ever performance on youtube I actually liked, or myself for having found it haha. But of course congrats go to you sir and thanks. By the way I'm glad to for once not see racial comments. Youtube is riddled with nasty, ignorant, fuckheads.
watched this video about 2 years and just remembered how much i love it!!! i was just just singing it randomly and then remembered it!! love it so much
@Realtablist cool cool, yeh same thing as i said, the little red record button at the bottom of every column is also called the "Arm" button, anyways, love the performance, check out my new music video "Space-Time - Source Code" track was made with ableton as well
THIS is how i wanna see ableton used, perfect. You took the added freedom that ableton afforded you and ran with it while still maintaining a visual element and credibility by scratching.
@sittingduhk Well said fella....this sort of shit is pukka and the skill level is off the scale...nice to someone use a mixer that isnt a vestax or a rane.....I'm getting a ecler nuo 4.0 in 3 days time...yum....just need to put an eternal fader in it then we're rockin!.back to the video....very fuckin nice indeed
Ouch. My balls. Realtablist is the shit and i hope he lives in a 20 room mansion with large breasted Swedish maids attending to his every need. This shit is solid gold. This man is a musician.
can someone point me in the direction of a tutorial or something on how to do this stuff? i have all the equipment i just wanna know how he like records shit he does and makes it repeat it...

I think you are the coolest DJ I have ever seen. I love scratching, and I love using technology in creative ways. All kinds of props on this. I want to have your kind of skills.
Dude that was soooooo good. That was so excenntly put together. a lot of dj's are so.. unorganized when the play (for lack of a better word). haha but that was sweet
good fuckin on ya mate. For starters you beat me to the ableton live turntable mixed with live looping. i really wanted to try it but didnt know where to start. Also, ive been looking for that fuckin album forever! the one where you scratch in the AW YEAH! whats the name of that? The Stompdown Killaz feature a video of a guy scratching that same sample...
very fresh shit, all producers can definately learn somethin from this concept.
@tiffuhny the only kind of turntables, technics sl-1200. i take it you haven't been into this for very long. after a while if you see the square start/stop button you will be able to recognize these immediately. you know how countries have official languages? well the official language of turntablism is the technics sl-1200.
friggin sweet, I would pay you to show me how to set that up..lol...I'm currently using Allen/Heath Xone3d, and cdj400's, but just got a trigger finger and trying to figure how to incorporate it..arg..i'm technically behind.
I saw your video on YouTube here and was wondering if you can help me get my foot peddle working? I have the same one you do in the video... I want to do the same thing you are doing.
i honestly don't like techno stuff. But seeing you do your thing really impress me.. It's take a real talent to "compose" such an arrangement.. well done~
I watched this many many times, It always angers me to see your beatpad because I could have gotten the same one, but I cheaped out and got w/o sliders and display (BIG mistake). I might have posted something on here already, but I just wanted to make sure I let you know you are freakn' talented and If if you ever come to Cincinnati, I will hug you and demand Dj tips. (I don't even care if you don't like hugs, I mean, I don't like them. But thats how awesome I think you are)
sadly, there are no decent scratchable mixers/turntables that cost less than 500... at least... you CAN scratch on a turntable as long as it's direct drive, but it;s much harder.
