@squarestackolardems 1-WRONG how is a type of music or the way music sounds SIN? The things you just named are biblically laid out acts of sin. The sound of music is NOT. Using music, even the music you hate CAN and IS used to call people to repentance. I know atheists who realized the ugliness of their sin and came to Christ listening to the music you persecute!!! And they're still in Christ years/decades later... Fruit is stronger than any argument... you shall know them by their Fruit!

Godly music is about content and heart/spirit behind it & what is really wrong with creating music that people will like? As long as the message is CHRIST? Music belongs to God it started with God so even if the devil has stolen it and used it to advance his purposes we can still take it back and use it for God's glory....

If content is the only consideration, then there was no need for a new style. They could have sung "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On" to the beat of "Amazing Grace", and according to you it would have had the same effect. No, music is not neutral. Certain styles of music arouse certain emotions and fleshly passions.

Yes, I agree with that. I have enjoyed listening to some Pentecostal (UPC or Apostolic) music and videos. However, I do not agree with some of your doctrinal teaching. But that does not mean that I would hate you, or call you names .Salvation is through Faith in Jesus Christ (no other name under Heaven) I consider myself to be Pentecostal, am filled with the Holy Ghost and without Holiness no man shall see the Lord. So , keep singing and praising Jesus for our God is truly an awesome God.

In the days of Jesus and during the early apostolic years, does anyone even know what style of music was used or sung? Saying that because the music does not match our pre-conceived ideas about what is proper doesn't make it wrong. Please realize that music in other countries may not sound anything like what we are use to, but that doesn't mean it is not worship, or that it is not holy. I have my own preferences, but it doesn't make yours wrong

What I object to is people who are living on the edge being allowed to determine and influence the direction of our music. These people are usually very comfortable with pop culture, TV, movies, and see no harm in much of anything. Holiness is not a priority to them.

If this sort of music is holy, pure and right, why does it feel so foreign to my spirit? Why can't I feel God in it? How can it be right if it feels so wrong? Why is it bringing in so many ungodly things with it, including homosexuality? If you know a lot of church people are repulsed by it, why would you want them to swallow something they are uncomfortable with?

If you are there and feel that way go somewhere else or start a church.... What you said about the Catholics is hilarious, but the answer to your question, in part is, that people are sick of the traditional mold. All that is in the the 'church' today has its roots in paganism. The chior, the pulpit, the building, the solo pastor, and on and on. People are waking up to this and reaslizing that this kills the move of God, and needs to be exposed for what it really is, just another pagan adition like worldly holidays and such.
