I first saw this in about 1990 when I bought a VHS tape of various Scopitones. It wasn't until a German friend saw this that I learned that these were the Kessler Twins, who I'd never heard of before. Now, through the magic of YouTube, so many more people worldwide can experience the magic of Alice and Ellen Kessler! And most especially this classic and eye-catching performance in a parade of wonderful outfits and wigs and sets, as they travel musically from Italy to their German homeland.

Growing up in Germany in the sixties, the Kessler Zwillinge (twins) were a huge hit. They were famous in France, and Italy, as well as their birth place Germany. I really liked the video and their dancing.

For me this is the best Scopitone juke box clip ever made. I have signed postcards from these beauties, and watched them on European variety T.V specials all through my childhood. Later they did U.S shows like The Dean Martin Show, and appeared on the cover of LIFE. This clip is wonderful from beginning to end, you almost can't believe what you're seeing. Now I know I didn't dream it. The Kessler Twins still perform today. Very stylish and beautiful girls indeed!.
