I know your probably not going to read this but I'm writing it anyway.I'm a singer/songwriter from Ireland,I know I'm one of millions out there but as Ireland is such a small place the talent that comes from here is rarely recognised.I feel I'm writing real songs from my own personal experiences. So if you just take a minute out of your day to view my videos and maybe subscribe, you really dont understand how much this could help me. All I want is for honest music to be recognised! Thanks :)
plz someone who is a damo fan get bottle tlk on here cause i cnt find it anywhere would sell you my soul to hear it seriously this song is amazing...but bottle tlk is...words cnt describe havent heard it since i was about 13-14 i'm now 21 so plzzz if anyone can plz post it much appreciated
@egotrip67 Do put a negative comment on all damos vids? i admit hes not the worlds greatest singer, but his heart is defo in it, and it sounds totally unplugged to me.
I saw him @ Vicar St. with the Dubliners a couple of week s ago, fantastic musician and he seemed to be truly enjoying himself, both onstage and mingling with the riff raff in the balcony.
@rickster69 that's bollocks! the reason they said it wasn't a rebel song is because it wasn't and isn't a rebel song in the traditional Irish sense. If you actually pay attention to the lyrics in the verses it's clearly a song protesting against the mindless violence that had engulfed the lives of innocent people. "But I won't heed the battle call".
@rickster69 worth remember that only two of U2's members were born in Ireland and the other two were born in England, one of them to Welsh parents.
Bono is from a mixed household and his wife is protestant. Larry was brought up Irish Catholic but his partner is protestant, The Edge is from a Welsh presbyterian background and Adam is probably Church of England. So I hate to take apart this notion you have they should be more radical in their approach but they're not that kind of Irish band.
When i seen the title i was hoping it was the john lennon bloody sunday, which is sung best by the wolfe tones. Hope Damo sings it some time, this is nice though , its not on any album is it.
damien is very under rated. but i love the way he is not commercialised and is some what a hidden gem, hes in it for the music and story telling. poet of our time.

rikster your making a fool of yourself
its a commemoration song pure and simple. 'rebel' song lol who do you think you are, a wanabe hero running around in a balaclava? grow up
not a fan of u2 really but to criticise them for not being republican enough for you is just retarded
