Johnny did lots of research about hunter - lived with him for a week to capture his personality - for Fear And Loathing.

Johnny made this film as a labour of love after hunter died. Johnny is the only man who can play this role the way Hunter knew it should be played.

Jim Carey would perform as Jim Carey would, not as Hunter S Thompson would.
