First I should say that BlueNile is a great "etailer" to get a diamond from.
Secondly, you've hit the mark. So many diamond shoppers go in with expectations and assumptions that can quickly be brought back to a more logical and realistic point of view if they do more research and look at diamonds in person (even if they expect to buy one online). The media has put too much weight on getting a D Internally Flawless 1-3Ct Brilliant cut stone that the normal person thinks that's what it HAS to be
What a brilliant video! Really sums up the current retail environment where faceless e-tailers are stealing business from service-oriented smaller local retailers like you guys. Jewelry is a great example of a product that benefits from a long term relationship with its provider.
Hi Leonardo, thanks so much for your comment! I am not knocking Blue Nile in this video but making a statement about today's diamond shoppers. I am also making a statement as to how us jewelers can provide service to our customers beyond etailers. Best, Ron
I disagree. Blue Nile has award winning quality and life time guarantees. I was not very knowledgeable about diamonds, colors, cuts, clarities, cutlets, girdles, tints, florescence, and a whole lot more education on not just diamonds but many other fine stones and metals that I learned about when I started looking at rings for my girlfriend. You can read others comments and see pictures. If you mess up you can send it back within 30 days no hassle. Great prices. Check it out

This is great!! How true... You can't trust or judge a diamond without having it right in front of you.
