  • is this a havoc beat?

  • @youngthizz81 The Prodigy sample is at 3:30. sick!

  • My french toast ! This song is by far one of the most powerful songs I have ever heard. It's like listening to a less heavier version of Rush. Every band member sounded perfect. Just the way the flute and keyboards built up the sound of awesome until the guitar solo came. Then I was absolutely blown away. Steve Hackett was epic. Everything was epic.

  • im sorry but the line at 2:13 is so bad, it makes me laugh.

  • Good not much work here in this video, only 1 guy to kill to fix his error.

  • 5:45 Beautiful!

  • A poem...I start crying when the solo starts...

  • one word: wonderful

  • ma è la versione rimasterizzata?

  • E' una colonna portante della musica mondiale... Grande Peter!!

  • Genesis belongs to another world .... This, Supper's ready, Musical box can't be human intuitions.

    true art

  • masterpiece

Nerd

  • I LOVE THIS SONG

  • Tony Banks is a legend

  • Excellentissime !!!

  • Semplicemente ... un capolavoro!!!!

  • the piaano intro is the best xD

  • I'd like to see the sheet music for the piano intro so I can learn to play it :)

  • whenever i listen to this song i can never decide if i should have an orgasim or burst into tears

  • No words can discribe this song..NO,this musical piece of art.

  • bloody fantastic piano intro

  • Questo è il capolavoro di Peter!

  • nn è di peter ma di tony e steve

  • I wonder if masters Gabriel, Tony, Mike, Phil and Steve are aware (today) of what they created here.

  • I'm sure they are.

  • what a masterpiece, and the text...

  • Simply wonderful. The guitar solo is really unbelievable.

I love this song since 1970 and each time I listen to it, I love it more and more.

  • 1973, you mean

  • uma viagem

  • If you want, you can suggest songs, and ill post them. My family put together have over 8 discs, including the platinum collection, so ill probably have it.

  • Steve Hackett does this on one of his solo albums. Pretty good and very dramatic, Hackett's version.

  • This is an absolutely amazing piece. It has everything from unbelievable keyboard solos to the most amazing guitar solo of all time. What more can you say. I also love the live versions, but the clarity and resonance of this studio cut is an absolute masterpiece.

  • With this kind of song, I don't know why Genesis is not considered as one of the leading Prog Rock band......critics just talk about Pink Floyd etc......but never analyze Genesis' song (at least the old era)

  • I agree, even though im a big fan of the Floyd. Peter Gabriels works are briliant, and should get more credit.

  • @didit1969 Most analysts do consider genesis the top tier prog band that they are. I don't know any who would say otherwise but they're obviously prety dumb if they do

  • awsome!! cant say no more!!

  • Each time I listen to this piece, it just gets better and better. It has got everything ...........and more!

  • I always notice new things when i listen to it!

  • This is the most interesting comments page that I've seen in ages.

My favourite Genesis piece. Good to compare this to the live version. I'm not sure which I prefer.

    XXX

  • quite simply, the best piece of music ever

  • guiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitar

  • From 3:28 to 4:30: So, so wonderful. Quite simply like the very best pieces of Bethoveen or Debussy.

  • sorry, Beethoven ;)

  • @Cayo205 - Sorry, but the best part is from 0:00 to 9:29. This is a masterpiece.

  • unbelievebel that piano rocks!

  • nice song at all

  • Masterpiece of Progressive Rock, which means... Masterpiece of Music!

  • better than crap tht is popular for like a week

  • u listen to music from today it doesnt make any fucking sense u listen to stuff like genesis yes

and pink floyd it makes sense and people still talk about them

  • Well, Idk about this song making sense... so he's singing about a shepherd or something?

  • It does make sense. all of Peter Gabriels stuff makes sense, even though i havent figured this one out yet. Supper's Ready seems very random too, but everything has to do with the Last Supper(Leonardo de Vinci).

  • Really? Wow.

  • I has nothing whatsoever to do with the last supper. It's basically good versus evil.

  • It's extremely biblical, nonetheless.

  • better than crap which is popular for a week

  • Thx for the song =D!

  • this is awesome good song banks is fucking awesome on the piano and u did one good job on ur video keep up the good work

  • el virtuosismo en su maximo esplendor
