First Aid & Safety Procedures : How to Help a Person Who Has Ingested Poison

i think i have food poisoning because last night i had a sub from subway and about 2 to 3 hours later i got sick in the stomach! Is this really food poisoning tell me please cuzz i havent gone to the doctor yet but im sure i will!

I COULDN'T drink charcoal. They had to put a tube down my throat and put in the charcoal that way, which only caused me to vomit even more.

I was allergic to the Narcan; it made a red line all the way up and down my arm.

When they put the tube in, did they put the charcoal in by a pump, IV bag, or syringe?

I'm just curious.

I bet it wasn't pleasant.

They tried to put the tube through my nose, which didn't work, so they had to put it down my throat. I'm pretty sure they put it in by a pump b/c the nurse told me they have to pump my stomach.

In that case, here is how they most likely did it. Tube went down via mouth. Tube was hooked up to a bag/bucket which contiained charcoal Bucked hung on IV pole for charcoal to drain ininto stomach. Another tube going to a bucket on the floor drained the charcoal OUT Charcoal was put in, and drained out until contents were clear of substance ingested. Tube removed.

@SpecializedChild462 In 1996 when my mom died. I took to many pain pills, which wasn't really a poison now that I think of it. But I took too many pain pills, so they gave me Narcan, which supposedly helps, but all it did for me is cause trouble. The I.V infiltrated, which means my muscles around it forced it out of the vein.
