lol i like your description "I took this video from inside of the plane." lol where else would you-wait a sec o_O did they invent flying cars and i never knew?????
Like I said I have been on flights where they didn't use reverse thrust to slow the plane and some of those were at O'Hare. You say you work at O'Hare but I could tell you I worked at Nasa, but that doesn't mean it's the truth. Further more, I'm really sure you have your attention on all the runways for every minute of the day. Two planes landing simultaneously, how would you know if one didn't use his reverser's

By taking this video, you violated U.S. Code Title 49 - disobeying a directive from a flight crew member (specifically, to turn off all electronic devices) -- and are subject to a fine of up to $10,000. The FAA has been advised to investigate and prosecute.
@LucasCSM It's not about what we want to do or what we feel free to do. It's only and all about safety. If you don't care enough about your life, don't take the bother to extend your lack of care to everybody else!
shut the fuck up you stupid peice of shit....if someone wants to fucking film on an airplane....who are you to stop them...shove that us code bullshit up your ass and take the president's dick out of your mouth.....you should seriously consider killing yourself
Yep, it was probably an American md-80, if you look at the markings and the shape/form of the wings. At the same time, the abscense of the reversers are either to conserve fuel, or just because the aircraft's landing weight is low enough that the addition of reversers just isn't necessary. Anyway, fun video! And if I'm not mistaken the plane landed on (current day) rwy 27L.
That plus O'Hare has some long runways and high speed exits. Might be a combo of the three. Forget to mention in the other comment that erj dont have the leading edge slats on them. Your definately right.
What reverser's? I believe that is the sound of tires on concrete. You know that sound you hear when you drive over concrete road surfaces. I've been on many flights on 737 and md-88 where the landed without using the reverse thrusters. It's not nothing new. And if an airport has high speed exits, they can turn off the runway at a higher rate of speed. Hence the name "HIGH SPEED EXIT" Throw them in and you can stop a plane without reverse thrust.
Same at DTW detroit's 22L its like 12 thousand feet long and from 747-400s to Saab 340s they all use reverser's BUT if you want i guess you dont have to reverse its just better for the brakes I think thats why they call it "Pilot discretion"
it was a Erj of some sort probably from american eagle because there was no reverse thrust after it landed and they are the only company that does that to save on fuel cost(im not kidding). So quit bitching at each other and do some research
I love airplanes.

Dear All,
I have some questions about psychology:
(1) Why do we enjoy flying?
(2) Why do we feel relax and more optimistic when we are at the airport/airfield?
(3) What is the environmental factor(s) that causes us to feel enjoyable when we are at the airport/airfield?
(4) What do you enjoy most for being at the airport/airfield?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

O'Hare is bad during bad winter weather periods-I've been delayed for 12 hours there.
The worst airport I've ever flown into had to be Paris De-Gaulle.
a. Rude people
b. Smelly restrooms
c. Takes forever to get to main terminal due to plane landing far from terminal-long ride on shuttle bus required.
nightfrog65 2 years ago
Armed French soldiers carrying M-16's around the terminal didn't make you feel comfortable either.
