Zero was missing Z4, presumed dead by many except by Ciel. Ciel was said in ZX to be missing and probably died of old age.

Vent, Aile, and Girouette have the same name theme as Ciel (all are sky related), perharps hinting they are Ciel 's descendants.

Only, how did Ciel have a descendant that look and sound like Zero, her love interest? Is it the same way she created ZX's Model Z?

I'm not really sure what to say about ZX. I admit it was an interesting take on megaman, but the lack of level select kind of hurts the games replay value, and megaman games were pretty re playable back in the day. They tried fixing it in ZX Advent, but it was more like they threw on a bandage to cover up the problem. If they made it so you could warp out of a level after you beat it regardless of location that would be a big help. Also the background story for ZX is a bit... err... yeah.

Megaman Zero is supposed to be a spin-off series after Zero dies in X5. After his death.. X contenues fighting the war.. and eventually needs a rest after all the work... so Zero takes up the fighting then on in Megaman Zero.

I know they have really drifted from the plot but if they dont we wouldnt of had games like the Zero series and the battle network series. The 1st game (megaman zx) is suposed to happen years later after the last megaman zero game, where Ciel (who is actually Praire's elder sister) created the biometal to... -PLAY the game, im not telling ;)-

And the 2nd game (Advent) happens many years later.

BTW, the Megaman Zero series and the ZX series happen AFTER the Megaman X series.

In my personal opinion, they took out Giro too early in the first game. And they should've made Vent and Aile the main charactes again. Maybe it could be set like a year later and Serpent came back or Prometheus and Pandora come back. Ah well, what can you do?
