  • very nice truck. What size tank are you running on that?

  • nice sweeper setup on the front. we had a similar fire in our wheat field, and i was really impressed with how quickly it put out the fire.

  • It is called a Patrol. Created by the Kern County Fire Department (California) in the 40's.

  • Hope those tires have a higher melting point than your average set ... otherwise .. those flames will get a lot closer than he likes ..

  • does it have special tires to handle the hot grass

  • @bfdengine2 < Yes, custom built by Iroc for that truck.

  • @bfdengine2 Are you serious?

  • @rrobertsnot5150 yeah dude i dont live out in the middle of no were, a brush truck to me is a huge ass GI truck with a 500 gallon tank not a little ford

  • @bfdengine2 I never heard of fireproof tires though lol

  • @coolsax64 its not that I'm un educated it that your one of the stupidest firemen I ever met. Why would anybody want to push the fire from the from the shit that is already burned to the unburned shit. Any real firemen knows that if I can push the fire back into the already burned stuff then there's nothing for it to burn. Hahah you must be a in texas

  • @psp310 If you take most any wildland fire training in regard to grass/wildland fires. They will most likely advise you to attack from the black. This is done because it puts you in a safe zone, where the fuel has already been consumed (see "fire triangle"). With heavier fuel loads (ie. grass, brush, groundcover) you are more at risk with changes in wind, etc. You might relate it to attacking upwind/uphill on flammable liquid fires.

  • Pretty sweet pumper..

  • hahaha its good to know that most firefighters here all thought the same thing at first..

  • missed a spot... haha cool truck though

  • nice drive your truck into the fire. I can tell your guys dont get paid.

  • @thesunsetreptiles

what the fuck does that mean "i can tell your guys dont get paid" well let me tell you fucknut the station i was on was the best damn well trained group of firefighters in the world and we were volunteers you should look at it as a brotherhood you dumb fucknut

  • @zachysteve oh yeah they train you to drive through fire wow you are good. wait intell you have to fight a forest fire your shit your self. I promise you that. . if you want to know who the best is come to cali and ill show you. cal Fire all the way. you ask anyone any real fire fighter and they well tell you cal fire is the best.

  • @zachysteve apparently dip shit doesnt know that 73% of Firemen in this country are VOLUNTEER.

if any of you guys have a problem with a video how about you go to your local VFD and sign up THEN you can talk shit.

  • hey everyone check out my videos please! good video man!

  • I can see where the NFPA comes from with their rule of fighting in the black. But that is hard to do in Oklahoma. We do fight in the black when possible, but that is rare. Out here you have to be in front of the fire to reach it in the high winds, cant even get close to it from the black alot of the time.

  • go ford!

  • beautiful truck!!

  • I'm jealous as hell. we gotta get out, crank our pump grab the line and hang out the window of our truck lol nice truck

  • IT

    IS

    A

    DEMO

    OF

    THE

    TRUCK!

Who cares where he's driving? They were just trying to show off what the truck can do. The guy driving it probably isn't even a fire fighter.

  • @xtjlowex showing off a fire fighting truck, with no experience in fire fighting?

  • the drivers like, WTF! WHY IS IT SO HOT IN HERE, SOMEONE TURN ON THE AC.

  • These guys are strictly structure folks, look at the guy sitting on the side of the truck in full turnout gear. They maybe got 2 hours of S-130/190 in their training and that is just basic. Attack from the black, flank the fire lines, and never drive into the fuels, good way to lose your truck.

  • @Hossman28 look cloesly the guy on the side of the truck he has a hand line and both driver and crew have full trunout gear on

  • you know its funny, we consider sittin in the black safe. most normal people wont even walk thru smoke and we stand next to fire like its no big deal. maybe we are just alittle bit different. nice truck

  • @bobcats330 I ain't a firefighter (yet) but i can stand next to fires and just be like whats the big deal

  • @warrenwilbertblack what i meant was the paople who see fire and are like'' oh my, thats dangerous" and thats also why it said most people. stay safe when you get started, in the black gets you back

  • @bobcats330 yeah go you.... -.-

  • You guys might wanna look at getting Australian made rural fire appliances imported all the crew have to do is stand on the crew deck while putting out a running grass fire trust me its real effective

  • This was a controlled burn arranged to video tape and get promotional photos.

  • @1stAttackEng Promotional photos of putting yourselves at risk.

  • dame it looked like the whole field got burnt might as well just let it burn the rest of the way...

  • Very good. Keep it safe man!!!

  • Oh! love that whole truck nice lightbar

  • Pump and roll

  • why in the hell is this truck in the green ... fight from the black .. always

  • pretty sure that half that fire just got owned right there lol

  • Any size Brush unit ,is only as good as the training given ,No matter what you think is the biggest ,baddest GI on the call ,they only work if you know what to do correctly ..then we all go home alive and unburnt...Drive to survive brothers and sisters....

  • Nice!

  • Thats what a tractor is for, put a line around it and burn it out. Shit like that can get people hurt!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what the fuck are u guys doing in the un burned thats just fuckin stupid espesuly in tall wheat stuble frickin morons

  • @volff130 You are right. Thats what I was trying to tell atvboyjr. I bet the guy is a rookie and never evn fought a wildland fire...

  • @coolsax64 in my dept my self and alost half our guys eaither work on or own a farm so one or to phone calls and we got 5 disks in the feild makin a line so we never go in the unbrned its a rule at my station lose the feild not the truck

  • n f p a is a joke

  • WOW. ATTACK FROM THE BLACK

  • NFPA and many local SOP's state that on all brush / Wildland fires, attack should be made from the burned side. Why risk your apparatus and firefighters. Risk little to save little. Always fight from the burned side...

  • @coolsax64 And that's why you lose 50 acres instead of 5!!

  • @atvboyjr Did you not read what I posted? Risk little to save little. You can make an effective attack from the black side. Especialy on a standing field fire. We do it all the time. Of course you have to take into account the weather, low humidity and high winds, then you can change your tactics. You may also consider back burns too. If you loose 50 acres or 5 acres its still nothing but a field...

  • @atvboyjr dude the farmer is NOT losing his crop its been cut it is JUST STUBLE there is no reason to be in that unburned side.. wheat is a nasty nasty thing when it is on fire..never ever drive in the unburned... are u even a firefighter cause i would hate to see the rest of ur dept

  • @coolsax64 Dose not matter what NFPA says in this matter.. Common sense tells you not to drive in the none burned area. That guy driving is a complete moron when it comes to driving. I say more training for that department.... I don't like to knock other firefighters, but this is just pushing it.

@ 1stAttackEng Ya promotional photos of how moron operate a brush truck. I guess i could be nicer and say Promotional photos of what not to do.

  • @coolsax64 you mean stand in the burning shit and push it to the unburned shit?

  • @psp310 If thats the way you put it. I can tell by your words that you are probably not very well educated so let me re phrase it again. Fighting wildland fire from the burned side reduces the risk to firefighters as well as apparatus considering shifting winds and terrain issues. Would you stand in the unburned side and wait for it to come to you? Risk little to save little.

  • Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice

  • i went to yalls website what happend to those toy brush trucks for sale will yall put them vack on and yall make really cool brush trucks

  • @sethrooo123 That was a promotional event we did a few years ago and we are out of stock. We may bring it back someday.
