you can get sick if you eat a crayfish with parasites.
to get rid of the parasites in your poor creature,
you would have to feed it little garlic chunks,
they love the garlic, and so do the fish! but its better to feed it separate to make sure your crayfish is eating it.
its really sad when your crayfish has it, they start spotting with brownish or black spots on their shell, then they would falling sideways and lay on their side.
great video, these things live on the crawfish I pulled from the lake. They were holding onto pieces of a dead fish while the crawfish was walking around my aquarium. These things are pretty darn strong for their size
Just looked up on google, found that they may be good for the crawlfish, cleaning off bad stuff even from the eggs a female may carry. Now if the crawlfish dies a lot more bad things will attach to the CF giving more food for the worms.
its not leech...its called anchor-worm...i have counter it before...i bought a anti-desease medicine for my female lobster i soaked her into the "stirred-well" medicine with aged water...after 10-15mins i took it out and rinse it again...after that i took a toothbrush and srub the places that the anchor-worms have attacked...NOTED:If your lobster have this problem now...better to do a 20mins wash-up...as the anchor worm reproduces very fast
thanks dude can you tell me more about this medicine because my crawfish have developed a shit load on their head and i took one of them out and used a spoon to scrape them off and it worked but then 2 days later they came back
They aren't too harmful. Mine had them too... when they got too much I cleaned them off but I didn't concern myself too much until I thought the crawfish was uncomfortable
No, they live in the gill chamber and after the crayfish dies they come out and try to find another host. Sometimes one will see them on the exoskeleton to lay eggs (on the dorsal carapace between the eyes).

I think those are ringworms. One of my friends has those.

@supermaletperson ringworm isn't actually a worm, it's a fungus.

Those worms are actually not there, the crayfish is imagining them.
He has Delusions Of Parisitosis.
He needs to be taken to a Psychologist, and put on some anti-psychotic medications.
Just like the growing numbers of people across the world that say they have Morgellons, it's all in their heads just like the crayfish here.
and hey nobody's saying the crayfish isn't SUFFERING.. he definitely is.. just not from "worms" or whatever.
