  • this video is so awesome, just subbed, to bad the audio is bad.

  • Nice video, But also a little nerve racking.

  • Those are big seas, but you are running well.

  • That's a lot of water!

  • how big are the waves???

  • @mathiassoli any ware from 15 to 35 feet not counting the depth of the trough for more info wiki it

  • This video, for some reason, really captures the amazing power of the ocean. The fact that man can be part of, and right in the middle of it is awesome and an incredible blessing!

  • Asshole, were is the rest of the storm.

  • So awesome.

  • I admire people who go out onto the ocean. I love the sea - but only from the beaches. I do not have the courage to go out in the middle of it at all. Too vast, too full of sharks. I'll watch videos like this instead!

  • This is the part where I would soil my dockers with #1 & #2. Then I'd throw up.

I assume they didn't know the storm was coming because they didn't have modern radar & electronics?

  • yikes!! sea looked like it was behind you!!

  • dame fcuking scary!!! Awesome vid!!

  • It's not that bad, I mean look it's like... like... oh shit

  • Awesome!! Also like the fact that we hear the hail, not the damn wind against the microphone! :-) Had a wind-buffer on the camera's microphone?

  • Beautiful Video!

  • Pretty hardcore. I do see the enjoyable aspects of sailboating but to be honest, those conditions take the fun out quickly. Even w/o the huge waves and such, being exposed to the elements for such long periods of time really takes its toll on the body. Give me a Nordhavn anyday.

  • What storm??

  • You've got to know your shit about sailing in these conditions.

  • where is this ??

  • Killer video... Fun watch...Thanks

  • I saw Chuck Norris swimming.

  • wow this is so scary. I'd shit my pants. I love the sound that the rain is making. It's scary.lol

  • Magic moments of a building storm. Fantastic.

  • Big rollers, wow!

  • lucky you can't see whats behind you.

  • wow......

  • OMG..... THS IS SO SCARRRRYYYYYYYYY

  • i love that sound

  • Great video

  • How big are those waves?

  • Machts du Popcorn ???

  • the popping sound is really irritating with headphones on ..

  • Popcorn any one?

  • the sound was worse than the ride!!! Who was on that boat Orville Redinbocker?

  • pop corn party?:D

  • Are they making popcorn or something?

  • awesome post, would love the thrill of the ride (sorry, sail) but a tad worried I'd be seasick! x

  • OMG amazing vid. I'd love the exsileration (ha can't spell that) but be slightly worried that I'd be seasick! respect to you guys! x

  • Nice video

  • It looks scary but beautiful. I'd get the storm jib up, autohelm and a beer... watch it from inside :-)

  • I'll take my aircraft carrier in those conditions any day.

  • A broken leg ?!

  • N I C E place to be ....

  • go stop the japs

  • Nice video ..!

  • Wow, what a ride! Looks like 20 foot seas or more, and in a small boat too! Looks like fun...

  • @SailingandSuch 20 ft ? lol looked more than that to me.

  • Rain on the mic

  • wts tht noise?

  • Very cool.

  • Great footage. Keeping the camera still and really allowing the viewer to look arround at conditions. I'd love to see more (but don't go looking for trouble on my account! ha ha)

  • Aren't you afraid?

  • holy shit

  • alaaa !! k xulo_!!

  • Looks like fun! She's really tender in those conditions, and it's no wonder she was knocked-down.

  • find me a boat that isnt tender in those conditions and your on to something

  • String your warps while you can, breakout the storm tackle, and pray to God!

  • No thanks!! I'll cross the Southern Ocean off my 'to visit' list.

  • u have brass balls, im getting sick just watching this. i went on my sisters 40 ft sailboat into puget sound and that was all the ocean i could take lol

  • stainless steel will do as well

  • hey my aunt and uncle have a boat in eagle harbor and we sail into puget sound a lot, usually to blake island

  • eso es una cascara de nuez en la tempestad.

  • I second that Oriano...

    Bloody magic video...many thanks

  • Great video, thanks for posting...awsome!

  • Please dont compare swimmers on a plastic door with sailors!!!

  • Nob

  • nob? like door knob? noob with two oo

  • wow awesomme

  • That looks like a 30 foot sailboat. Too small for the gigantic atlantic. I have a 30 ft cuddy cruiser and I think it's too small for cruising far out into lake michigan. I can't even imagine heading out with it far out into the atlantic

  • She`s a 37 foot , 16 ton newly built timber replica of a Cornish lugger that in 1854 made a journey from Cornwall , UK to Australia in 116 days travelling 12000 miles. They were re-enacting the same journey.

  • Too small? A number of people of have sailed around the world in a 28 foot sailboat or smaller.

  • Me never not in that small boat.

  • U BRAVE ? OR MAD? HMMMMM AWSOME!

  • Amazing video!

Giant waves, a boat made by wood, and mans made by iron!

  • Pretty intense!

  • sailing is cool!

  • its beautiful

  • you making popcorn or something lol

  • popcorn...haha. At 1:34 I think he burned himself with the popcorn...he said it was painful...lol

  • hahaha

  • I love sailing! This made me happy!!

  • lolololol that was funny

  • Off to never never land. =)

  • If I saw that in real life I would immediatly remember all those ocean movies like posidon and titanic and get freaked out.

  • I was more "Perfect Storm" myself... Even in that short clip the waves were gettng larger so quickly.. Gt Sthrn Ocean... They reckon the Atlantic turns on a show... close but no cigar me thinks..

  • I hear every ocean has its mean streak. Even the North sea, I hear, has vicious currents.

  • You have to either be really brave or really dumb to be in that kind of eye of the storm. I applaud people for doing that. As they are really brave to face that, kind of danger.

  • Now that living!!!

  • they must be out far, possibly 100-300 miles?

  • scary...u wont catch me out on the sea in a little boat like that ..ur crazy,,,

  • Please describe the sailboat.

  • why i dnt sail on the ocean.

  • Then go to sailing! ^^ In place of me too, please. 'Cause we are living far away from any ocean, we are can't go...

  • you need some musical accompaniment mate. sure, great visuals... would be nice if u could get some lightning in the next one tho.

  • I am awed and terrified all at once...that's the beauty of the ocean. We are like fleas on the back of a dog that could shake you off with just one shake. At the mercy of this great beauty.

    I love the ocean.

  • I lake ur suggestment to the video its very true what you and i am such one fan with the ocean to.

  • Looks like a tight spot.

  • those waves look practically unreal...I've been in 6 foot seas before, but nothing like this. I actually don't see rough seas often because I usually go out to sea early in the morning for spearfishing with scuba gear.

  • just meor does the rain sound like poprocks

  • Yeah. :) Maybe they had it with microwave ^^

  • haha yeah lol^_^

  • wow that boat is so small i would shit my pants suppose the sea gets rougher and the boat turns over

  • This is beautiful and scary in the same time.

  • i would shit myself

  • I can almost taste and smell the salty sea-air, damn i miss sailing...tnx for posting this.

  • Yeh!

    WAY COOL!

  • O A SHTIX FIGURe!

    /|\

    /\

  • Great.

Better than a roller coaster. And on one such adventures, a person experiencing it would probably be thinking the clip could be the final clip your dear friends should remember you by - should you disappear overboard for any reason. Heady stuff. A cat has nine lives - but the warranty may not hold on water !.

  • That noise pisses me off

  • Oh boy I love waves that big. I'm tellin' ya if I would get a chance to be on a boat surounded by waves this big I would be the happiest guy on earth. I'm not playing some ''Mr. Bravery'' Its so good beleive me. Besides if the boat/jacht/ship is built well there's like no way that somethin' could happen.

  • plz go see a doctor.... u need help man lol anyway nice video..

  • just rolling with the waves, no sail?

  • OHHH MYYY GODDDDDDDDDD WHAT ARE YOU DOING out there... That's scary like shit.... I'm outta here...My worst nightmare, you guys are so brave. Godspeed always.

  • why can i only hear the ice and not the sea

  • i hope the cameras waterproof

  • Woah scary.

  • I have stared down the barrel of a muggers gun. I have come face to face with bears. I have placed on trial with trumped up charges oversees! I have been stabbed, beaten and left for dead. I have faced extreme heights and conditions with no safety equipment and I've never been really scared. But, I promise you, if you put me on a boat in that surf, I'll start crying like a little girl and then I'll squat and pee like a puppy...then I'll have a heart attack and die.

  • I lol'd

  • loik u did all thot sooff

  • Nice vid!

  • Man, those waves looked powerful! I remember in Nova Scotia the many names on the tall pillars to commemorate those who were swallowed up in the waves. What a vid!

  • Chill out & watch Marist '09 singing

  • looks a lil like a game

  • The hail hitting the boat sounds healthy lol

  • EXCITING AND SCARY!

  • meh.. pissy storm

  • Scary!

  • I would be heading for "land" right fricking NOW!

  • Dude, if I saw those waves, I would so lose it that I would jump out and try to swim back to land.

  • Now I'm not a sailor but aren't you suppose to go against the waves not with them? As in, going into the direction of the wind, motor on??? I don't know, just wondering...

  • Depends on your Destination Point. Left Kelleys Island in Lake Erie one July Morn after winds became strong enough to snap Dock Lines. Following Seas with 12 foot Pointed Swells. Had to Surf at 17 mph or drop into trough with a 3-4 foot bottom to avoid. 32 miles across to Anchor Point east of Toledo. Four boys & Wife, 33" Bayliner and I made it fine. The looks on peoples faces as we entered the Harbor was PRICELESS!!!

  • Where's WILSON ?

  • i think id like to be on dry land id be ralfin raalf..good video i dont think i'd be laughing..dan ny

  • u guys r the MAN!!!!

  • Great video! The precipitation appears to be small hail or sleet rather than freezing rain, which is by definition drops of super cooled liquid that freeze upon impact often forming a large coating of dangerous ice (not good for boats!)

  • Man can you see those waves and nothing around you but water and more water i would hate to fall off that boat but kick ass vid guys i would have been scared out of my brains

  • Man that would be scary as hell!! just the color of they sky!! good vid guys!!

  • so scared here

  • hi im scared for you there plzzzz carefull

  • very scary, you guys have balls!

  • DAMN! you guys are ballsy. I wish I had a pirate's heart :D

  • hopefully that ship has a keel :D

  • Great video. So amazing and scary!

  • i bet that hot tea was good.

  • Why is the main still up. Surely they are going too fast and need to slow down to avoid a broach.

  • que bueno tu video

  • sound slike jiffy pop poopcorn hehe

  • What is this shot with? The colors are amazingly vivid. Great video!

  • that is scary.

  • that is fucking crazy shit!

  • You guys are crazy!

  • lol, i would shit my fucking pants

  • yep so would i lol

  • Yeah, I would def. be the one in the boat cowering in a corner like a sissy saying "Please don't let me die... please don't let me die..." while I start to inflate my inflatable vinyl duckie.

  • I'm getting sea sick...

  • NUTS!

  • Hey guys Jesus loves you and died for your sins

  • Those guys are nucking futs!

  • Looks like the flemish cap to me

  • jason, I already figured that part out.

  • Hey kyle, you could learn something from "tuber23504". Don't take my comment personaly, just educating you as to the huge difference between a life raft and a tender/dinghy. Speaking of something you know nothing about and calling them morons actually makes YOU the moron.

  • kyle, you don't decide if I can speak or not, that's for sure

  • I know it all, you deceptive fool.

  • shut up stop trying to sound like u know something u dont

  • LOL. Some comments are just perfect!

  • im getttin sea sick just watchin it and im supposed to be going to new jersey in june omg !!!!

  • Like anything else, it's only dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. With the right knowledge and experience, this is probably less dangerous than driving in rush hour in any major city.
