  • I bought this rifle 2 years ago. It's very well designed, shoots excellent and extremely accurate. I've shot the smiley faces at 100 yards as well. I also have the PX4 in both standard as well as the sub compact models, all 9mm. It's not an AR but it for sure fills a gap between pistols and the AR. I mounted EOTech and Surefire light. First gun I grab when things make noise in the night. Hey Rambo, 9mm is not a 600 yard round, get a 30.06 or 308. This is a pistol on steroids.

  • Would you stop doing reviews!!! All i do is stare at you...geezzzzz

  • Cool, but it looks too "plastic" to me...

  • tatical or taticool ?XD

  • You wont regret getting one. Its my favorite gun that I own and also the most reliable. Its limited by the pistol rounds for serious distance work but 100 yards or less I can get groupings as good as with my AR15

  • Yeah, I would like see you do a shooting vid on this rifle.

  • Before you know it, you're gonna be one of the Beretta girls!

  • Awesome! I'm hoping you'll stop by the Benelli booth.

  • FOD- I have the 9mm version. The cool factor is off the charts, but it also shoot great. Mine has a laser, light, and RD sight, and is parked next to my bed every night. Thanks for the review.

  • ★★★★★

Cool Beans! Are you going to buy one?

  • I've fired the Beretta CX4 Storm and I found the recoil to be a crisp reminder why muzzle breaks are a good thing.

  • How about folding stock?

  • You can get a stock like that for a Ruger 10-22. I think cheaper then dirt sold them at one time.

  • @will1174

You are correct. It was called the "Archangel Marauder", and was about $150=160 in cost. A friend of mine recently purchased the kit and a brand new pre 1994 Ruger 10/22 to convert it with the new stock to make it New York State Compliant. It is VERY solid after it is all put together!

  • Nice gun. The FOD shirt looks great! Keep posting!

  • Thanks for taking us with you to the shot show, and talking to us without the "tactical sized" ego.

  • Needs a flash suppressor.

  • I love that Beretta and love that it can either use the 92 series mags or you can buy one that runs the px4 storm mags depending on what you have

  • Beautiful! Nice looking CX4, too.

Haha I love "ambidextrious", but you corrected yourself. I hear it pronounced that way so much that I wonder if it's correct.

  • Really cool ergonomics, thanks for sharing with us your expo experiences :)

  • Yay! You caught yourself on the "word" ambidextrious! So many gun people think that's a real word. LOL

  • The CX4 is pretty sweet. Comes with a hammer forged / chrome lined barrel.

  • u should do commercials your so pretty

  • it's a 1000 dollar hi-point

  • i like the stock, but the forend just seems too bulky to me.

  • looks like crap, sorry

  • You never seen one of these? They have been out for years....

  • I had one. Sold it two weeks later

  • i would love them in .22

  • you know you've been watching too many sootch vids when you start pronouncing it am-bi-deks-tre-us.

  • Oh shizzle, I have one of those in .40, you can shoot mine anytime.

  • Nice! Sci fi looking. You will havta wear a spacegirl outfit when you do your review. Thanks.

  • If you have the CX4 that takes 92 mags (there are 3 other versions, PX4 9mm, PX4 40S&W, and a 45ACP that takes Cougar mags, but Beretta doesn't make the Cougar anymore, Stoeger does)... Anyway, Beretta makes a 30 round 92 mag now. I've seen on Midway USA for $35. That's pretty awesome. Pretty sure they made it to give the CX4 better firepower. :)

  • Saw one when I requalified for my Armed Guard license last year

  • The lack of capacity and a non threaded barrel is a big negative in my opinion. Why not just get a 9mm AR instead? See: Colt AR6540 capacity 32 + 1 rds.

  • @Everett07630 I agree, the non-threaded barrel is disappointing no doubt about it... The lack of capacity however doesn't bother me as much... I have MecGar 20 round mags which seem to be made for this gun. And there are 32 round Beretta mags out there if you want them... I think one of the main purposes behind this gun is to act as a companion rifle to your Beretta side arm. Interchangeable mags and ammunition is a real plus for a lot of people out there.

  • @PKM9x19 That's a good point about sub-gun / pistol compatibility. The CX4 needs higher capacity, a threaded barrel for using a flash hider or sound suppressor, and a side folding or adjustable ACE style stock.

  • @Everett07630 Beretta makes a 30 round 92 magazine now. Pretty sure they had the CX4 in mind when they did.

Personally, I like the idea of an AR in 9mm... But it's not very high on my list of must haves. What I like better is a pistol and a carbine that not only use the same caliber, but the same mags as well.

  • @EscpdFrmPsykward kel-tec carbine + glock?

  • @DudeNumberOnePlus Very true. Good point. Although that Kel-Tec is ugly as sin. But at least they are cheap and they give you options. You could even pair the Sub2000 with a Beretta 92 or Sig P226, 9mm or 40s&w... Plenty of ways to go.

  • @EscpdFrmPsykward Throw a threaded barrel on CX4 along with that higher capacity mag, then I'll be sold on it. As it stands now, not so much.

  • @Everett07630 Agreed on the threaded barrel. That is a must. But the high-cap mags (30 rounds) are available from Beretta. Seen them on Beretta's site for $40, on Midway USA for $35. Mecgar has 20 round mags, they've been out for a while. 15 and 17 rounds ain't bad either. As far at the CX4 goes, you have good options if you stick with 9mm. 45acp on the other hand, still stuck with 8 round mags for a gun that Beretta doesn't even make anymore (Cougar). That's a deal breaker for a lot of people.

  • @Everett07630 The CX4 is a lot lighter and in my experience a lot more reliable than the ARs. Id trust this little gun with my life any day. It feeds literally anything you feed it. Ive fired probably 5000 rounds so far and ZERO malfunctions. Its still going strong.

  • @Everett07630 Oh yeah, and its also more ambidextrous and shorter than the AR15.

  • You're a kid in a candy shop there aren't you Destinee? HAHA!

Yeah I would be too... that's a nice looking carbine there.

Hope you have some more fun on day 2. =)

  • interesting....what a great design. pistol to rifle and back. you'd think a lot more manufacturers would be jumping on this idea. whats the price point on these?

  • I've had a CX4 Storm for a few years now and hands down it is the most fun to shoot... Everybody who tries it is immediately hooked! I mounted an Eotech on mine and shooting fast accurate shots couldn't be easier... just point and click.

  • @PKM9x19 Just to be clear, the CX4 is easy to shoot and very accurate (at pistol ranges of course) all by itself.

  • @jmstallard Thanks for the clarification... I didn't mean to imply it needed a red dot sight to be accurate because it certainly doesn't... And I would also add its easy to shoot and very accurate anywhere you shoot it... It is not limited to pistol ranges.

  • I've dreamed of having a CX4 Storm. Not legal here tho. BTW, good quality video with your Android.

  • doin' a great job in Sin City. bring on day two !

  • I have one of those carbines, they work great and are easy to clean. The Colonial Marines in the new Battlestar Galactica used them LOL

  • @Tacticalgearhead I can't believe I made it half-way down the page before somebody called,"The Battlestar Galactica gun." That's the first thing I think of when I see these. How completely have zombies replaced hot robots in pop culture?

  • wow that look really futuristic kind like universal soldier type!

  • Looks good, you need to get your hands on one.

  • @556DOS45 I should be more clear the CX4 can be set up to take a few different mags. In 9mm you can get it with PX4, 92FS, or the cougar mags. The 40 has the same choices but a 96 instead of the 92.

  • You look good with that gun. Strap a two point sling on it and it's a cool accessory for a night out:-)

  • I've got one of these. Very fun rifle but needs work out of the box IMO @556DOS45 yes it takes PX4 mags for 9mm and 40 but not the 45. I've read with a little work you can get the 45 mags to work.

  • Thank you for your hard work @ shot show for the YT community ;-)

    Glock n Load,

    Mike

  • Des, I'm liking these 1 minute snippet vids. We are getting to see a lot!

  • I almost bought one of those, precisely because it can be set up for a left- or right-handed shooter. Then I saved a few hundred dollars and got my Kel Tec sub 2000 9mm rifle. I'm happy!

  • But does it "Feel good in the hand" :)

  • Hells ya Des you need to get a CX4 for a video review!!!!!

Does it use the mags from the PX4?

  • I've always liked the way the CX4 looks. You're crankin' out the vids for SHOT! Thank you for sharing your adventure with us! :-D

  • Five or is it six vids in a day? Are we lucky or what?

  • Doing a great job out there girl... Keep it up!

  • Nice!

  • wow, great looking design. I want one.

  • Dam. That looks allmost as good as you. Very good keep up the awsum vids.

  • thats next on my list

  • sorry for the 1st thing :) I couldn't resist... Looks like you're keeping super busy at shot .. don't forget to get a little rest !

  • My friend bought one of those years ago. It doesn't look like they have changed much.

  • @TheYankeeMarshal How is it? I saw one when I was doing my armed guard requal. But I didn't shoot it because I didn't know the guy. That sonovabitch is light does it recoil bad?

  • @VinnyS914 It is pretty awesome actually. Recoil is light and it was incredibly accurate. Even a bad shot like me was doing well with it.

  • Yeah no doubt, that Beretta screams tactical, love the ero's, bet it would be fun to shoot .

    Good stuff.

  • beautiful !

  • 1st... yay ...
