You know I am not a skeptic of ghost but it would be more convincing if there were lamps or lights so that the highway wasn't pitchblack -at least then if someone saw something you could say it truly was paranormal. You don't really know for a fact when it's that dark what is going on. Like I said I am not a skeptic of ghosts but I do think that basic precautions should be taken so that people will be both safe and ghost stories like that can truly be said to be haunted.

Why were none of the polaroids provided? If this "ghost" really comes out at 1:20-1:40am every morning and in the same place, then it sounds like we have a very good chance of getting some actual proof for its existence. I suspect that this story is just that, a story, otherwise I see no reason why someone by now wouldn't have come up with some actual tangible evidence for its existence, i.e. video or pictures.

Why dont you just leave a camera there overnight at that exact spot and come back for it the next day.Hide it first so nobody nicks it and see what you pick up.

Why were none of the polaroids provided? If this "ghost" really comes out at 1:20-1:40am every morning and in the same place, then it sounds like we have a very good chance of getting some actual proof for its existence. I suspect that this story is just that, a story, otherwise I see no reason why someone by now wouldn't have come up with some actual tangible evidence for its existence, i.e. video or pictures.

I have been through there many times during that time a night but haven't seen anything before. There are always flower and vegetable stands on the corners during the day. They most not find it very creepy. Didn't know about the shawnee cemetery twist on things, pretty interesting.

I am tempted to walk to that spot at 1:10 AM, take me about 5 minutes to get there.

i live up by amilia middle school i drive there all the time at night with friends/family. i've seen the hitchhiker it's pretty cool, but CREEPY, you should go in a car. my friend and me a few othe friends too. went out of the car...i though i saw it when it was on the hill. we were down the road, it was creep normal i not afraid i ran and jumped in the car. go there not at feet but in car....have fun. btw you live by phantome fireworks? around there? i have faimly around there. have fun.

I see that everyday.
I live on the street right next to the opening, on 222
I see that curve everyday, through the woods I can see the glow of the streetlight.
So far after the 10 years I have lived here, I have not seen a faceless hitchhiker, either that or I have and mistook it as the flower guy who stands there and sells flowers.
Think it is fucking awesome it is so close to my house.
Within walking distance.

I used to work at the Ford plant in Batavia and usually took rt 32 to work and everyone always said hey, take this short cut to avoid all the traffic. It was only once and in the day time but I got extreme chill just driving that strech of road and never drove that route again!
