  • This is a nice boat

  • the bayliner 246 has a fantastic ride in waves, we went out on it and were easily going around 40-45 mph at around 80% throttle (not the standard engine though the 260hp) and the waves were around 0.5 to 1 metre and the boat rode over them as though there was nothing.

A downside is that the seating behind the main two seats is a bit uncomfortable so the extra fold out bench is a very good option.

  • @mooseling1 could these boats handle offshore fishing? 20miles off shore around

  • @LessThan3able I have no idea, i have only been on it once. I doubt it would be comfortable offshore, but from what i saw when i was on it i do think it would cope with much bigger waves than there was when we were on it, it did have a smooth ride (relatively) considering the wave size, and it was very fast... The exterior layout however is what i didnt like, as good as the cabin is.

  • @mooseling1 thanks. im in the market. well my dad is cuase im only 15. trying to convince him on getting a used one for 30,000

  • @LessThan3able Get him to have a look at the boat in real life, the cabin is quite impressive considering the size of the boat... Make sure when getting a used boat to pay for a decent survey for it... lets you know if everything is ok or not.

  • @mooseling1 yea we have 3 boats right now he wants house boat and these are the nicest by far. thanks for the help bro
