with the sniping in black ops when you hit a shot it seems to take a bit of extra time for the shot to connect meaning it makes the sound, the guy dies, and your points come up, serious issues, still better than mw3, if mw2 didn't have commando, danger close and one man army it would be a million times better than the call of dutys that they are making now

I played with 4mates and we won like 15games in a row becouse all the enemies timed out :D everytime someone joined he timed out and we won becouse enemyteam was empty. rofl matchmaking
MW3 issues: the fucking knife is bullshit, stealth bomber is way to overpowered, striker and type-95 are fucking overpowered, spawns suck, a lot of hidding spots and most of the maps are small.
@RecklessAlerion The one thing that still bothers me is the knife, when I see a one bullet hit mark on someone that knifed me and i die it freaking bugs the hell out of me. Have they never heard of that phrase "Don't bring a Knife to a Gun Fight!!"

I actually have the game for both systems. I have to say that the only issues I see as far as lag or hit detection occur on the ps3 version. Sometimes the game runs smooth, other times bullets just don't seem to be doing any damage. It doesn't seem significant until you play the Xbox version. Thank god the ps3 version was a Christmas present or I'd be pretty disappointed with the multiplayer.

I'm not being bias, but I think your problem is that your playing on PS3. Do you now know Microsoft and Activition have a partnership? On PS3 it doesn't really lag, framerates just drop and you may even experience constant kick-outs. I heard turning theater mode off helps. I play on Xbox 360 and the only problem I had was the Call of Duty: Elite. Within a week Elite was working for me. Within 1 and a half it worked on my PC.

Modern Warfare 2 is better than Modern Warfare 3. I think the problem is that Raven Software worked on Multiplayer. Infinity Ward should have worked on it instead.
they should of made all the multiplayer(connection) the same as MW2 because MW2 was realy the only server that had low lag for the game but it also had the most ..... pro advantage(over poweredness) but overall it was good and they should have the Cod WAW party system i loved it with the alpha, beta, charlie + groups and be able to join in match was nice. basicaly im saying each Cod has it pros and all have cons.
Maybe if Infinity Ward would actually build a game rather than ejaculating into their 100 dollar bills up until 3 days before release, they could get something in general done.

The spawn system is SLOWLY getting better. Ping compensation is still bullshit, why they can't have dedicated servers considering the millions that you've mentioned them making is beyond me.
On the topic of glitchers: They HAVE fixed the truck glitch on Outpost, as well as the tunnel glitch. There is an exploit to get on top of the maps that is on Youtube; I'll leave the link in another post.

IW need to develop some code that identifies and flags hackers! There are too many cheats in CoD! Secondly, the lag compensator is hideous! From my viewpoint I see and shoot someone first, get hit markers, then I get owned! The game is ok though very frustrating
The ping compensator seems to hurt people with good connections so much that they can't get a decent game, and players with shitty connections can somehow get a kill on me, when on my screen, I was 10 feet past a corner in cover.

this ''lag'' affects mostly on playstation because it's harder to port, most games are easily ported from the xbox to the pc without problems but game develepors have difficulty porting games to the ps3 which can cause more problems so in my opinion if you have a ps3 use the ps3 exclusive titles for a few months before you buy ported games like battlefeild cod etc

GUNNS, one thing you have to admit that black ops did right is when you shoot someone and they go into second chance and someone else finishes them off, you get the kill. This is absent in MW3 and its really pissing me off that i can put someone into second chance and a douchebag will run along and steal my kill. This needs fixing!
@JoukowskiFoil I don't think it's possible to fix that. It's just lag over the internet. Only way to stop it is to play on a LAN or everyone in the match has an above average internet connection. The problem isn't Call of Duty's fault, it's just the fact that when you shoot at someone that information usually needs to travel 500 miles or more on average in just a few milliseconds. You will probably never be able to get away from lag. I don't see why people try and blame that on the game.
MW3 is officially already hacked. i entered a free for all today and i was moving a million miles per hour. i thought IW got their shit together, but i was wrong again. they are pathetic and the worst developer in gaming. treyarch is better and more respected anyway so IW can go screw themselves because they are liars and lazy .
When you mentioned having to sit in the lobby I was relieved because I never wait, I always back out and keep looking for a game in progress so I could jump right in the action. Weird enough, a lot of them were just starting.

@Specopleader look, the only way bf is better than cod is graphics. the destrucible environments suck, i hate the fact that just everything in the game gets destroyed halfway through the match. and it dosnt matter if its more realistic, its slow paced, boring, and full of campers. also theres barely any gun on gun fighting. nobody cares about teamwork in videogames, they are about having fun. nobody cares about it being realistic, it just makes it more boring.
i've pretty much had none of these problems on the PC, i can't speak for xbox or ps3 but PC just seems like gun balancing, and sometimes spawns are just completely awful.
Then again, I own PS3m and online is SHIT. BRUTAL. Every single game you will ever play, online has BRUTAL problems. Maybe not so for the 360, keep that in mind and try the 360 now.

Spec Ops Survival is literally UN-PLAYABLE. Lags every 0.30 seconds on the dot. Its not my connection and its not my friends connection either. I remember this being a problem on MW2's SPec Ops missions as well. They need to fix it.

IW need to develop some code that identifies and flags hackers! There are too many cheats in CoD! Secondly, the lag compensator is hideous! From my viewpoint I see and shoot someone first, get hit markers, then I get owned! The game is ok though very frustrating

The ping compensator seems to hurt people with good connections so much that they can't get a decent game, and players with shitty connections can somehow get a kill on me, when on my screen, I was 10 feet past a corner in cover.

this ''lag'' affects mostly on playstation because it's harder to port, most games are easily ported from the xbox to the pc without problems but game develepors have difficulty porting games to the ps3 which can cause more problems so in my opinion if you have a ps3 use the ps3 exclusive titles for a few months before you buy ported games like battlefeild cod etc

GUNNS, one thing you have to admit that black ops did right is when you shoot someone and they go into second chance and someone else finishes them off, you get the kill. This is absent in MW3 and its really pissing me off that i can put someone into second chance and a douchebag will run along and steal my kill. This needs fixing!

@JoukowskiFoil I don't think it's possible to fix that. It's just lag over the internet. Only way to stop it is to play on a LAN or everyone in the match has an above average internet connection. The problem isn't Call of Duty's fault, it's just the fact that when you shoot at someone that information usually needs to travel 500 miles or more on average in just a few milliseconds. You will probably never be able to get away from lag. I don't see why people try and blame that on the game.

MW3 is officially already hacked. i entered a free for all today and i was moving a million miles per hour. i thought IW got their shit together, but i was wrong again. they are pathetic and the worst developer in gaming. treyarch is better and more respected anyway so IW can go screw themselves because they are liars and lazy .

I think this is funny, lol. Everybody sees this lag as bad, I see it as more of a challenge. I play MW3 a little bit, I was able to prestige after 17 hours of gameplay. Its not that bad, and if it ever does get that bad, its called backing out. Lmfao.

@Specopleader look, the only way bf is better than cod is graphics. the destrucible environments suck, i hate the fact that just everything in the game gets destroyed halfway through the match. and it dosnt matter if its more realistic, its slow paced, boring, and full of campers. also theres barely any gun on gun fighting. nobody cares about teamwork in videogames, they are about having fun. nobody cares about it being realistic, it just makes it more boring.

SOLVE your LAG: Go to Options, TURN OFF the 'Video Capture'/whatever its called.....alot of the issues will be solved...mostly!

i've pretty much had none of these problems on the PC, i can't speak for xbox or ps3 but PC just seems like gun balancing, and sometimes spawns are just completely awful.

I see problems in this game, yes, but i have not seen half of the shit your talking about. When i play, I do see lag but only when a host drops out of the game. I play xbox 360, if this is the difference then I'm happy i pay 5 bucks a month

My kill/deat ratio is 1.94 so fairly good, and the lag is definitely there. For those who do not understand, you are too noob and need to relook some of the deaths every once in awhile. You do not understand HOW much money they have made, yet they did not manage to fix basic glitches that should have already been apparent.

Another problem the game has is that like 4 or 5 of the assault rifles sound exactly the same and sound like they're made of plastic that to me kinda killed my gaming experience

Spec Ops Survival is literally UN-PLAYABLE. Lags every 0.30 seconds on the dot. Its not my connection and its not my friends connection either. I remember this being a problem on MW2's SPec Ops missions as well. They need to fix it.
