I was a Phyllis fan back in the day as a young child sneaking to buy her albums with my little money (dad was a minister and secular wasn't allowed). Her voice was like silver and she sang with such ease. None of that "hollin' " that goes on now. I soooooo miss her and how great she would have been.

I'm sorry, but neither Lady GaGa, Rhianna, Beyonce, or ANY of the so-called female "artists" of today can touch this Diva! Her sound was as CLASSIC as it will ever get. As you heard her voice here, is EXACTLY how she sounded on her records too. No need here for any studio gimmicks to make her sound as if she was singing with a bee stuck in her throat!
