to be fair, MTV was always commercialized. When they played music, they played commercial music, and played commercials in-between lol. The biggest change was the market. Kids these days (I can't believe I just said that) WANT to see My Sweet 16 and Room Raiders and the... well whatever else they show now. And if they want to see music, it has to come with a video that involves lubrication, shiny things and people who can't sing in real life... sad

It's a great 3-DVD set but FYI, it has none of his MTV material on it, only the stuff he did on the Canadian Comedy Network. Some of that footage was used on his MTV show, so you'll get some of the same stuff but this skit, for instance, isn't on there.
