@vishy This type of court was very common in the fast indoors tournaments in the 90's. The Masters was held on it.

I wish we still had these fast indoor courts, made for great tennis. But, Nadal is terrible on them, so they won't consider speeding up the Masters again until he is gone.

It is strange Nadal is so bad on true fast courts, as guys like Sergi Bruegerra and Kuerten had success on them.

Sampras didn't have a weak backhand, or at least not as weak as everyone made it out to be. Sampras' backhand was weakER than his forehand, which was absolutely phenomenal. Federer is the same way. His backhand isn't weak, his forehand is just so much better. They wouldn't be the top 2 men's players of all time if they had weak backhands.

the thing about one handed backhands is that they're riskier, but you have much more flexibility with them. sure, sampras and federer's backhands may have been considered their weaknesses, but how many impossible shots have you seen them hit off that wing.
