This is great to see! I got a chance to see Michael Moore's new film yesterday and there is a very similar scene from Miami of neighbors standing with neighbors to halt an eviction. Moore also gave a smart bit of advice for anyone facing foreclosure or eviction: simply ask cops/bank to produce the original mortgage. There's a good chance they won't be able to find it, as it's likely in a million little mismatched bundled pieces spread somewhere between China, Switzerland & North Carolina.

A homeowner gets a new job and offers to pay her mortgage, and the bank already enriched by billions of our tax dollars says no to any modification. What a travesty. Im glad youre demonstrating next Tuesday. Ill be there.

Evicting anyone only continues the downward spiral of housing values and communities that are being decimated as these banks continue to rape once loyal customers who deserve every chance to be bailed out or at least kept afloat until real jobs and economic recovery for working folks becomes mainstream.
