IMHO, Blacks Ops required more skills and the maps were laid out better and are larger. In MW3 all one needs is Akimbo (which was made to work much easier in MW3 than BO (I guess the kids needed something to use against skilled riflemen), Nades (tossed or launched) and rocket launcher / RPG. MW3 has become noob tube city. The maps are too tight and cluttered for skilled combat and too small to effectively take out choppers and drones.
I prestiged once for a extra custom class and will do it a second time for the RTC but will wait a while and enjoy the benefits of lvl 80 and all my gold guns and perks. In MW3 there really isn't a need to prestige more than once or twice max. Also, if you're gonna prestige, use the Specialist Class to start so you will Perk faster.

But there is no teamwork AT ALL. No one covers the person capturing a zone in Domination... they ALL want to get the credit and allow a triple kill rather than cover the baserunner (person closest to the zone to capture). I don't give a rats ass about my K/D ratio as long as I help the team win.
I've taken many a bullet on purpose to protect the flag carrier or base runnner.
Also, people need to start using bouncing Betties (awesome strategic weapon) and clays more. One thing I do not like about MW3 is the Blast shield Pro is much worse than in BO and the Shield is way too over powered and protective. There also seems to be a lot of Lag!! I have 20Mb download fiber optics and I'm getting pwned by players with only 1 bar barely showing on their connection speed.
To people who want to know if you should prestige this is my answer:
The only reason to get high prestige's is for the glory or for the custom classes. If you don't want the glory, don't do it. If you don't need the extra classes, or you already have them from tokens, then don't do it. I personally will prestige until I can get all Custom Classes and then I will stop.

Stay where you are and kick ass! No need to Prestige beyond 4 in MW3. I'm only going to go to prestige 3 and stop. I wanted one extra slot for custom weapons and now all I want is the class that you can keep and carry with you IF you do decide to prestige in the future,
Prestiging is just when you've gotten to xp lvl 80 and you see a shiny little emblem and on the speaker the guy says prestiging is beast! so what do you you do you go for it but you lose everything you worked up to for it for a title and a little shiny emblem.

I personally prestiged because I just could in previous CODs, but now that we have unlock gear it feels great to be able to prestige, have my trusty MP7 with me, beast out another load of levels and have fun unlocking other guns, camos and achievements. People say that they made prestige useless in MW3, but I say that unlock gear makes it the COD which provides the most fun by prestiging. Not going to grind levels though, just going to have fun with achievments and all and see how far I can get.
@jakester24810 Gold guns shouldn't change your decision, it's about two months into the game and if you're that close to having everything you want then you should prestige. Think about what you'd do after getting everything you want. MOABs, challenges, done. You'll get far too bored of the game if you just sit at level 80 for a year doing nothing but winning matches or getting mad at your team for not matching your standards. Prestige, you may regret it, but it's far more fun =)

Well i prestige in all cod games cuz it seems as though everytime i prestige i find a new gun i really like using that i didnt in the last one. that may not be a terrific reason but also u dont need to rush to the next prestige like ur saying just play normally and if u play enough u will eventually get there, besides if ur staying at same rank and not using prestige mode then your just wasting time playing and going nowhere. I would recommend it if ur gonna continue to play the game.

i have a 1.53 KDR, which isnt amazing, but anyway, takes about 30 mins to go up 25 levels or so. then from lvl 40-60 it takes a bit long, but then from 70-80 its a breeze. i dont find it too harsh like it was in other cods.
@Godx9xVx9xCod lol dude you dont get 10 prestige tokens if your 10th prestige in MW2 or any other COD, you get ONE prestige token if you prestiged at all and thats all, im a legit 10th and no, you dont get 10 tokens. the max is 14, four from prestiging in COD4, WAW, MW2, and BO, and the other 10 are from MW3 each time your prestige
i personally try to prestige as high as i can within the "lifetime" of a cod game but with MW3 i think im just gonna get enough presitge points fot the 10 custom classes and to get to have the MSR right away
I don't see any reason not to. For starters you can get all the custom classes and if you don't want unlock gear you can use the tokens for weapon xp when getting guns to gold when your done prestiging. If you don't it feels like your not done the game in a sense and to extend the life of the game. Also the titles and stuff is neat but you don't have to rush to the final prestige as you were saying and play modes you don't like. Just do your thing and have fun and when you hit 80, prestige.
I think if you keep the right guns and perks when you pretiege then you should keep prestieging, i prestieged once and already miss a few guns, mainly g36c and assassin pro but i think its boring if you don't prestiege because you don't level up and don't earn anything so whats the fun
i prestige when the guns u already have unlocked are good.at mw3 u have the l118a and a lot of other good AR/SMG.and ill prstige all the way up on mw3 because of that,and i didnt prestige once on BO because i didnt like the guns and u needed lvl 26 to unlock that badass sniper(forgot the name =b)
I will prestige once, use my unlock tokens for 2 extra classes. that I have 7 classes. That's enough for me, yes I can switch than for other gametypes. But I wont go to the end. 7 is enough, for my. I think you should not prestige to the end if you don't want to. I don't want to so I wont do it.
It´s very simple....If you don´t prestige you won´t get all the classes but on the other hand you lose all your weapons and attachments....Everytime a new call of duty comes out i intend to not prestige but in the end i always do it....There are pros and cons
@TheColiniho Good thing we now have unlock gear now though, keeping my MP7 throughout the the rest of my days let's me use my favourite weapon forever, while still letting me challenge myself with all of the achievements and unlockables you get to beast through in the next prestiges. I also try to never prestige but ended up 'just getting it' in all the other cods lol, at least now we can keep our favourite guns.
Im just prestiging to get my 10 custom classes then stopping. I dont like thinking about leveling up all the time. I would have enough fun leveling up all my guns to gold instead to keep the game going.

Not prestiging really gets boring especially since it's a year between each CoD game, It just gives you something to work towards in that year span. I know I'm definatly going to keep prestiging untill I finally get 10th :)
I'm am going to go all the way and I am not rushing through the prestiges because I hope it takes me all year to get to tenth prestige so that I can have something to look forward to when I'm playing. Because it is kinda rewarding to me knowing that I am the highest level.

I prestige when i get bored, Ive never have the goal to become 10th, I Prestige to keep things interesting, When you reach lv80, stay their until you become bored, and only presige when you feel like it. Thats my advice.

Levling up and prestiging goes so quick in this game so I think you should prestige all the way. I used 14 hours from level 1>80 and im sure alot of people have done it even quicker.

Personally I do it because leveling up is way more fun than sitting at level 80 and not earning anything. I get bored of a game really fast if I'm not leveling, but the challenge of leveling up and unlocking stuff up t level 80 keeps its fun and interesting.
@LuckyMarketGameplay Yeah, but then I have to rank them up again. One of those guns is the 1887, it's far too much of a pain to use before you unlock range or damage.

i definately dont prestige. i dont need more than 5 classes, and i have leveled the KSG12 up to the point where i dont want to do it again. it is awful before you get a high level with it, and getting to that point is not very pleasant

Yes, I prestige because I like the added challenge of starting with lesser guns and working my way back up. Also you can prestige to get extra custom classes/have a gun/perk/equipment forever regardless of rank. In mw3 there's far more reason to prestige.

There is 100% NO reason to Prestige in MW3, there is SOO much shit to un lock, Perks to unlock the Pro version, Point/ Kill Streak points to get, Weapon Proficiencies for EVERY firearm in the game, even at level 78, I know you haven't unlocked everything. Why start over when you've just begun, from what I've seen & herd It would take the time of Presaging 3-4 times to unlock Everything, Upgrade Everything get Every Gold Gun ect. Once your at the point when you don't need XP then consider it.

i prestige when the guns u already have unlocked are good.at mw3 u have the l118a and a lot of other good AR/SMG.and ill prstige all the way up on mw3 because of that,and i didnt prestige once on BO because i didnt like the guns and u needed lvl 26 to unlock that badass sniper(forgot the name =b)

Lefty, my opinion:
I will prestige once, use my unlock tokens for 2 extra classes. that I have 7 classes. That's enough for me, yes I can switch than for other gametypes. But I wont go to the end. 7 is enough, for my. I think you should not prestige to the end if you don't want to. I don't want to so I wont do it.

It´s very simple....If you don´t prestige you won´t get all the classes but on the other hand you lose all your weapons and attachments....Everytime a new call of duty comes out i intend to not prestige but in the end i always do it....There are pros and cons

@TheColiniho Good thing we now have unlock gear now though, keeping my MP7 throughout the the rest of my days let's me use my favourite weapon forever, while still letting me challenge myself with all of the achievements and unlockables you get to beast through in the next prestiges. I also try to never prestige but ended up 'just getting it' in all the other cods lol, at least now we can keep our favourite guns.

Im just prestiging to get my 10 custom classes then stopping. I dont like thinking about leveling up all the time. I would have enough fun leveling up all my guns to gold instead to keep the game going.

I don't usually prestige, I did it once and I was so srry I did. I prestiged in Black Ops for the extra class and just got really mad. And u kno that for every game you've prestige in a COD game you get 1 prestige token. So you prestige 2 times so far in mw3 so that's 2 plus Black Ops so thats 3 plus if you've prestiged in any other game you could easily get 10 classes. And what I do know instead of prestiging, is I unlock everything in the game and now in this case level up every gun and get E

well, ive stoped prestiging a couple times, and ive always endend up doing it, the game starts to get really boring, and becomes no fun. like theres no point to be playing the game if your not playing to level up/ comlette chalenges.

Not prestiging really gets boring especially since it's a year between each CoD game, It just gives you something to work towards in that year span. I know I'm definatly going to keep prestiging untill I finally get 10th :)

I'm am going to go all the way and I am not rushing through the prestiges because I hope it takes me all year to get to tenth prestige so that I can have something to look forward to when I'm playing. Because it is kinda rewarding to me knowing that I am the highest level.

I prestige when i get bored, Ive never have the goal to become 10th, I Prestige to keep things interesting, When you reach lv80, stay their until you become bored, and only presige when you feel like it. Thats my advice.

Levling up and prestiging goes so quick in this game so I think you should prestige all the way. I used 14 hours from level 1>80 and im sure alot of people have done it even quicker.

Personally I do it because leveling up is way more fun than sitting at level 80 and not earning anything. I get bored of a game really fast if I'm not leveling, but the challenge of leveling up and unlocking stuff up t level 80 keeps its fun and interesting.

@LuckyMarketGameplay Yeah, but then I have to rank them up again. One of those guns is the 1887, it's far too much of a pain to use before you unlock range or damage.
Also, I don't really care for the game that much so I won't be playing long enough to go to 10.

i definately dont prestige. i dont need more than 5 classes, and i have leveled the KSG12 up to the point where i dont want to do it again. it is awful before you get a high level with it, and getting to that point is not very pleasant

thats what cod multiplayer is for is to prestige and not stay the same level for 6 days and look like a scrub. i always prestige right when i unlock it so i can unlock more classes and have a new emblem and unlock tittles and emblems. if u dont prestige i think its because u dont want to lose all ur guns and the camo. its not the guns that make a player good, its the player that makes the guns good. SO LEFTY PRESTIGE!

Also if you focus on challenges for weapons (especially the different attachment challenges) it helps to greatly reduce the time between levels.

Yes, I prestige because I like the added challenge of starting with lesser guns and working my way back up. Also you can prestige to get extra custom classes/have a gun/perk/equipment forever regardless of rank. In mw3 there's far more reason to prestige.

There is 100% NO reason to Prestige in MW3, there is SOO much shit to un lock, Perks to unlock the Pro version, Point/ Kill Streak points to get, Weapon Proficiencies for EVERY firearm in the game, even at level 78, I know you haven't unlocked everything. Why start over when you've just begun, from what I've seen & herd It would take the time of Presaging 3-4 times to unlock Everything, Upgrade Everything get Every Gold Gun ect. Once your at the point when you don't need XP then consider it.

@LeftyOX I prestige because after a while it just gets boring it feels rewarding when you level up and if you don't like kill confirmed don't play it take you're time it's an intire year untill the next cod. Another reason is that when i prestige i start using different guns and otherwise i just stick with the guns with a high lvl. hope this helped.
