@monkys4ever yup, he just wanted one night with Esmerilda and then be married to his fiance. Esmerilda falls in love with him and hopes does too in return. To blow your mind even further Frolo has a nicer side to him, and but is corrupted due to Esmerilda. Well with Clopin had parts of him sadistic, such as if someone was caught in the Court of Mircles they would have to pick a pocket on a tall pole covered in small bells. If the bells rang or made noise the person would be hung.
