There's this holiday called Yule, with which Christmas coincides. (No, they're not the same thing.)

As for Jesus, he advocated good will toward those of different cultures. (Remember the Good Samaritan story?) He'd suggest lightening up about this mere ritual (which the Bible recommends against, btw, along with celebrating birthdays of deities and divinities, and other pagan traditions).

So call your tree what you want; and don't worry about what other people choose to call it. ☺
