In 1975 I was a radio DJ at my college radio station in NY. My girlfriend Sue did something to piss me off... can't remember exactly what... but it involved lying about where she was... out with someone else. I found out and the next time I was on the air I specially dedicated this current Top 40 hit to "Sue - and you know the reason why!" This song will always have a special memory. Sue and I remained friends for the next 30 years.
This song just popped into my head today. Then when I looked at the lyrics, I realized it was Hurricane Irene hitting the East Coast in the past 2 days that made me think of it. "Blown round by the wind..."
I was a college DJ in 1975. My girlfriend Sue told me a lie that pissed me off. I went up to the radio studio that day and announced that I had a special song for a special girl named Sue... this one's for you! And then I played this song for everyone to hear. I don't recall if she heard her special dedication that day, but I felt better. We were together another 4 years after that.
@RapIsDeadly My guess is because of a new generation of programers that dont know their ass from their elbow and follow a format of songs that some guy THINKS people will like.it is indeed a great song of the past.
@RapIsDeadly Because all stations have a format. Meaning they have a FIXED box of many crappy songs to regurgitate over and over. Most 70's songs were removed from the mix many years ago. These pleasing songs are surely missed by the populace, but that does not matter. Radio stations must push the current irritating noise pollution to keep the neanderthals in line. Until people stop buying the new crap, you can forget about hearing songs of superior substance and talent.
@RapIsDeadly You can thank Clear Channel for that. They believe that they assume playlists that people want to hear. Other songs they think that some people find "offensive".
@mwredit I'm gueesing Clear Channel and their ilk have labeled this one as offensive due to the title alone - Sky High could be referring to drugs! Also, "Blown it all sky high" could be pro-al queda and their terrorist ways. =/
wow, haven't heard this in years. i was about 6 then. from what i've read about this band, this song was really NOT their true sound. supposedly, they really rocked! but still this is a great song. bravo, those 70s! thanx for takin' me back!
Oh My God. I haven't heard this since 1975. What a great blast from the past. The 70's are without a doubt the greatest decade for anything. Period.

@seaeagles64 There was already an Australian band with that name, so they were called British Jigsaw to avoid confusion.
