Some of the retards here don't know that no matter how poor a country is, as long as they can have meals on table, they would just live normally .

Of course the starving North Korean would not live happily. But for those who can have food, seriously, all they want would be the live the same as they did yesterday. Freedom is a Western idea and most of people don't care about government as long they have food.

So if you understand this you can understand why ppl in Pyongyong can live happily.

Those that live in the capital are party members who have earned a place in this city as a reward for their loyalty, with it comes extra rations and top spots in the job market and education as well as other priveledges.

People in Pyongyang can live happily because they belong to a privileged elite, allowed to live in Pyongyang. People are always going to car emore about survival and basic needs than the western notion of 'freedom', but to say that this notion of freedom is irrelevant does not explain why hundreds of thousands of North Koreans risk their lives, and the lives of family members to flee into China and eventually into South Korea.

North Korea is a sad country to live in! It is like slavery over there. I feel sorry for the people who are trying to be free. Corrupted government in that country. They need help over there. The United States can take over the country if we wanted to cause we have to military to do it. PEACE!

In terms of quality, the U.S. is ahead but the North Koreans have a few certain advantages namely, ~ 20 underground tunnels to attack South Korea (4 of the ~20 have already been found), highly motivated special forces and perhaps spies in South Korea for sabotage in war. The Korean terrain is also mountainous making warfare different from what can be fought in Europe or America which Western tanks were designed for.

The only tenable solution to the Korea problem is for U.S. to withdraw ALL troops from the DMZ and allow the two sides to work together to reunify the nation. It should be seen as a domestic issue between the two Koreas. Koreans in both the North and South want reunification, and they all agree that the U.S.A. is what is standing in the way!

but if that happened china, south Korea, twain and Japan would be in a huge blood bath. Remember North Korea has a million man army with no tanks, ships or planes. Japan keeps a very close eye on North Korea and has missiles ready to launch at moments notice.

Remember, North Korea's economy is in collapse; people can't even trade exports for food. An economic and social equilibrium must be reached if NK hopes to join the int'l community. Plus, NK's dictatorship will need to reach the astounding conclusion that nurturing people leads to more happiness for everyone, than controlling them.

Hmm... maybe we could ship about a million Guy Fawkes masks to NK citizens?
