Which would you prefer a top team scraping by a top team 4 straight years or the undefeated Buckeyes getting their heads handed to them by a 3 or 4 loss Wolverines team 5 straight years. Well guess what you don't get to pick and choose what games you wanna count, Michigan has 4 more national titles, is 16 games ahead of the Buckeyes in the series, and is proven to be the better program.
Don't be so sure about that. Penn State's a team where the defensive cupboards are never bare. The loss of Alan Zemitas and Tambi Hali was supposed to hurt us, Paul Pusluzney leaving was supposed to make our defense weak, so I think we'll be just fine after losing Dan Connor and apparently Sean Lee. It might have some impact, but Penn State's defense has never been reliant on just one person.
Here's how I see the 2008 season for Michigan. Utah - L Miami (Ohio) - W @ Notre Dame - W Wisconsin - W Illinois - L Toledo - W @ Penn State - L Michigan State - W @ Purdue - W @ Minnesota - W Northwestern - W @ Ohio State - L Bowl game: Alamo or Outback, likely result will be a victory.
How do you figure Michigan would lose to Utah? Wisconsin will be an early test with their ridiculous depth at RB, Illinois has a QB that cant throw well or consistently and a completely unproven RB as well as losing the core of their D. Penn State is a bit of a mystery and could do almost anything next year but I would personally lean toward UM in that one, MSU and Northwestern COULD be good, and if OSU doesn't run the Big 10 it will be the biggest choke job in their long history.
Utah is a very underrated team. They come from one of the mid-major conferences that frequently upset BCS teams. I think getting Wisconsin in Ann Arbor early will help with the win, like it did with Penn State the year before. The Illini look to be improving, and Penn State's only losing a few starters. I think Michigan runs the table the rest of the way until the Ohio State game. I predict 3 losses for OSU, though, 2 of them being conference losses.
Wisconsin is one of those games that will be interesting to see what happens because to be honest who knows? Penn State probably will be second in the Big 10 and has probably their best chance aside from 05 yet to break their skid against Michigan, Illinois is getting better but their RB will have to come through big because Juice cant throw anywhere near as well as he needs to. I really don't see OSU losing besides against USC, unless they pull another choke job ala Illinois last year.
I know that Wisconsin and Illinois suck at early road games, so they'll lose to their big 10 openers (Michigan and Penn State respectively), I think Ohio State's going to not get enough better to handle Illinois and Penn State (who will probably find a way to stop Chris Wells). I think probably Michigan will finish 8-4 with a 5-3 Big 10 record, like Wisconsin should, but since Michigan will beat Wisky, I think they'll get in a January bowl. If not, then Michigan wins the Alamo Bowl in a blowout.
Buckeyes will be loaded this year. But they play at USC, Illinois, and Michigan St. I'm more concerned about Michigan St. than Illinois. Think Spartans will be suprise team of 08-09, like Illinois was this year, although I did pick Illinois to finish 3rd in Big10 last year.

At this point nobody really knows when scUM is going to be good again. Things don't look very promising. Coach D'Antonio has lead this team to a 9-2 record with players left over from the John L. Smith era. Just imagine what will happen next season when he actually is coaching his own recruits! So it looks like Sparty fans are going to have something to cheer about for awhile. Hey did you guys hear. Rich Rod canceled the last michigan practice. They found a white substance on the field believed to be anthrax or something. When the FBI showed up they tested it and it turned out to be the goal line. lol actually Michigan has 14 with only 11 of them being recognized by the school and the NCAA. OSU morons always trying to pretend they can compete with Michigan. We know the whole argument, if you don't count these games OSU is actually winning the rivalry. Well guess what you don't get to pick and choose what games you wanna count, Michigan has 4 more national titles, is 16 games ahead of the Buckeyes in the series, and is proven to be the better program.

Don't be so sure about that. Penn State's a team where the defensive cupboards are never bare. The loss of Alan Zemitas and Tambi Hali was supposed to hurt us, Paul Pusluzney leaving was supposed to make our defense weak, so I think we'll be just fine after losing Dan Connor and apparently Sean Lee. It might have some impact, but Penn State's defense has never been reliant on just one person.

How do you figure Michigan would lose to Utah? Wisconsin will be an early test with their ridiculous depth at RB, Illinois has a QB that cant throw well or consistently and a completely unproven RB as well as losing the core of their D. Penn State is a bit of a mystery and could do almost anything next year but I would personally lean toward UM in that one, MSU and Northwestern COULD be good, and if OSU doesn't run the Big 10 it will be the biggest choke job in their long history.

Utah is a very underrated team. They come from one of the mid-major conferences that frequently upset BCS teams. I think getting Wisconsin in Ann Arbor early will help with the win, like it did with Penn State the year before. The Illini look to be improving, and Penn State's only losing a few starters. I think Michigan runs the table the rest of the way until the Ohio State game. I predict 3 losses for OSU, though, 2 of them being conference losses.

Wisconsin is one of those games that will be interesting to see what happens because to be honest who knows? Penn State probably will be second in the Big 10 and has probably their best chance aside from 05 yet to break their skid against Michigan, Illinois is getting better but their RB will have to come through big because Juice cant throw anywhere near as well as he needs to. I really don't see OSU losing besides against USC, unless they pull another choke job ala Illinois last year.

I know that Wisconsin and Illinois suck at early road games, so they'll lose to their big 10 openers (Michigan and Penn State respectively), I think Ohio State's going to not get enough better to handle Illinois and Penn State (who will probably find a way to stop Chris Wells). I think probably Michigan will finish 8-4 with a 5-3 Big 10 record, like Wisconsin should, but since Michigan will beat Wisky, I think they'll get in a January bowl. If not, then Michigan wins the Alamo Bowl in a blowout.

Buckeyes will be loaded this year. But they play at USC, Illinois, and Michigan St. I'm more concerned about Michigan St. than Illinois. Think Spartans will be suprise team of 08-09, like Illinois was this year, although I did pick Illinois to finish 3rd in Big10 last year.
