@rtl4x4 Thanks for that. I know that it was probably him saying something else, it still funny though. You've got to admit, it does sound like the "F" Word. :-)
What Cleggy meant was he would have sausage for his afternoon meal (tea). The afternoon tea (small meal) came about in response to dinner being often served at 8:30-9:00 pm in the evening.
@gtnick1234 So really, how many meals a day is normal in Britain? Three, or four smaller ones? I've heard references to "kid's tea" as well as they adult version; so do the kids also eat again at dinner, or are they abed by then? Sorry, just a culturally curious culinarian. . .
many differences in character. In later episodes, Clegg would never lead the 3, and the Café couple evolved differently. Café woman sometimes quarrelled or fussed with Batty in early episodes.
0.19 "what about this mucky plate." Mucky meaning dirty.

John Comer say's "what about this fucking plate" at 0:19. Swearing in LOTSW, I never thought I'd see it. LOL

@BBrooksMr: no, he's saying "what about this MUCKY plate". Mucky means 'dirty"; he's complaining that she's behind on the dish washing.

I love this show. It was on PBS a few years ago, but no longer. Wish I could find it again in the US.

'Waiting For God' dealt with some of the same material, but this is a bit funnier. I like them both, but this has more whimsy.
