yup...too bad the REAL henry the 8th was a cellulite ridden, ugly, pastyfaced, self indulgent asshole....and his children (including elizabeth I) if you can believe it, were even uglier than he was......of course they represented the english people well.....but this show was a great piece of fiction.....lol
@652ndkennard You don't know what you are talking about. The young Henry VIII was regarded as handsome by his contemporaries. The Henry VIII that you describe is what he looked like in his middle ages. When he was young, he was quite good looking, by all acconts
i seriously wouldn't mind be caught in the mddle of those two hot pieces of ass. goodness i think i'm breaking into a sweat just thinking about it lol
Seems like she was suffering from some really difficult challenges. Might have helped her baby if she had nursed him herself, rather than following the practice of elegant noble females of using a hired nurse.
Hey let's hear it for Queen Anne. She absolutley, positively got rid of the Catholic Church in England. She took on an entire Political power and sent them packing. Long live the Queen! And lok at the daughter she left behind to rule and probably the most successful English monarch to sit on the throne. What a legacy!
@TheReformed1 Absolutely, positively got rid of the Catholic Church in England? No. Catholics continued to outnumber Protestants by nearly every estimate for the rest of the sixteenth century. And Catholics outnumber Protestants once again as of the end of 2007, thanks not only to Eastern European migration but also to large numbers of conversions from Anglicanism, punctuated by the conversion of a former Prime Minister.
Hard to say "Long live the queen" when one remembers her fate.
lolz. It's 3 years later after posting this.
It's December 19 2010... wow, time flies..
I hope I get all the seasons for Christmas, I just love this show!

Yeah. She had bad luck. Catherine had more miscarriages then any living person. I wonder if Catherine really was cursed.
