  • Christians just love forcing their crazy religion on everyone else, huh.

  • The crosses cost over $150,000 a piece. That's rediculous!! Donation money used to go towards helping people. Now it's used to decorate. The church destroyed my belief because of bullshit like this.

  • The Effingham Cross was completed in July 2001 and dedicated on Sept. 16, 2001 just a few days after the Sept. 11 terrorist Attacks. The Cross at the Crossroads is project of the Cross Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that strives to offer messages and programs designed to promote the values of faith and family daily living.

  • It's a ugly piece of shit. The only thing that would make it better is to get a giant 180 foot Jesus to flop around in the wind.

  • Well on the off chance they have to crucify a giant, their all good to go... ;-)

  • Sorta sad how if someone built a big monument of a cell phone itd be such an artistic icon since its ok to worship the newest cell phone on the market? Its so cool to riducule faiths if you dont have any.

im glad to see this video was posted with no reguard to negative criticisms and its no weak effort to build something of that magnitude. the closets accomplishment to that cross is the one in groom texas (190ft) 2nd only to this cross by 8 feet.

  • Tawdry, garish, gawdy, and of no artistic value whatsoever. When I pass this thing on the interstate, my first thought is to whether the faith of those who erected it is as superficial as the monstrosity itself.

  • If i post a video of the cross. will you paste that same message yet again?

  • "If i post a video of the cross. will you paste that same message yet again? "

You mean, will I dialogue with a "genius" who describes the Sun & Fun Hotspot of the Soybean Fields as, "...a place where i can talk about Christ without listening to tree hugging hippies, scientists and what not lecturing..."?

Dunno. I doubt if I could take the cerebral overload that such dialogue might generate.

  • same lol

  • lol, i see it almost every day :D
