  • Yes the movie is Canada - Russia. It is awsome. Buy it on line.

  • My Pee-Wee team sold posters 39 years ago that had photos of each team and said Summit Series. Like most things that we were supposed to sell, I ended up with most of it still left over and my dad had to spend his overtime pay to buy the items. I have like (10) posters left all in the orignal tube. This series was unforgetable and my hat if off forever to the Canadians who first took this team lightly, but then when they realized that they were up against it - they responded and won !!!!

  • @jezeiger i cover every single game in at least one clip

check out "esposito rallies the nation" post game four classic, the americans built a railroad to unify their country, phil helped cement our nation with that interview

youtube has at least one clip from the CBC 4 hour mini-sreies

i host over 100 team canada clips from every box set ever released , [;ease subscribe

  • Is there a movie about this? If not there should be. I'm an American, and I'm sure my emotions involved in this story are so small compared to a Canadian watching it unfold, but I would love to learn more about it.

  • @jezeiger i host clips of the whole series taken from the box set dvd

the CBC movie has a short clip here on YouTube, as well

i think paul henderson's Game 7 winner is even more awesome than the Game 8 clincher

  • Loved it when he scared the shit out of the Ref.

  • 6 Russians dislike this

  • USA sent out College kids against them.....and pulled off a Miracle.

  • @somethinburnin Course, I watch this and WOW, least we didn't have to try it in Moscow!

  • here's an american vote for the most consequential & dramatic goal of all time. think of all the corruption and emotion team canada faced here. they were the legitimate favorites in vancouver, so although sid's golden goal was exciting, henderson's came against a rigged system that was happy to rig the entire thing for propaganda. '72 was the biggest and best, and remains AWESOME.

  • Oh wow the Russians cheated, what a shock. What would the result be for the 8 games IF the Canadians showed up in shape and with proper pre scouting and Bobby Orr and Bobby Hull in the lineup.

  • I don't think any other country in the world cares as much about a sport as Canada does about hockey.

  • nasty tricks on both sides, Bobby Clarke's being the nastiest

  • Canadian animals ...

  • @alkonax why don't you cry a river you little puke commie bastard

  • @alkonax Yeah buddy

  • @alkonax Canadian winners*

  • Comment removed

  • Henderson scored in regulation to insure a Canada win.

Crosby scored in OT and ignited a nation.

    You be the judge.

  • yup Canada # 1

  • canada is the greatest country in the world

  • 1:28 ahhh HAHA how many megapixels is that camera the three of you are carrying >:-O

  • Russians man -- you have to love them LOOK at that stare even from the little one at 1:08 :-) And if you were born in the 1950s - 1970s -- we ALL call them Commies. You were hard-wired for that at birth..

  • i dont like hockey at all but my dad did and he made me watch this when i was young and still today i get goosebumps just watching this .

  • Too bad that the fools in the upper echelons of the NHL kept Bobby Hull off the ice.

  • lol i live phil esposito's way of talkin to the ref :)

  • this took place 26 years before I was born, and i get goosebumps watching it.

  • WHY DOESNT ANYONE EVER MENTION THAT CANADA'S TEAM WAS NOT THE BEST PLAYERS WE HAD, BOBBY ORR , BOBBY HULL AND OTHERS DIDNT PLAY, THEY PRACTICED FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS WHERE THE RUSSIANS PLAYED TOGETHER FOR YEARS , IF CANADA PLAYED AS ONE UNIT FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS RUSSIA WOULDNT HAVE WON A GAME, MOST GAMES WOULD HAVE BEEN BLOW OUT. I CANT BELIEVE NO ONE MENTIONS THIS, RUSSIANS BACK THEN WERE GOOD BUT NO WHERE NEAR CANADA. AND ON TOP OF THAT THE REFS WERE SO ONE SIDED. .BUT WE STILL WON

  • IF ONLY WARS COULD BE FOUGHT LIKE THAT

  • I know I'll get scolded for saying this, but if Bobby Clarke didn't intentionally injure Valeri Kharlamov at the orders of Harry Sinden - Canada would not have won.

  • @1KR3W

Canada won three games on Soviet ice with a Soviet handpicked referee. I think that more than makes up for the Clarke slash.

  • i dont watch hockey nor know much about the sport but when i watch this i get goosebumps.

  • Wonder what was going through Ken Dryden's mind eight years later when he covered the Miracle on Ice for ABC?

  • imagine the red machine had won im sure canada had began a brawl but not so the udssr

  • Anyone know where I can find the documentary called "summit on ice" online?

  • Henderson!

  • This is for all those pussies who like to whine that "Kanada" cheated it's way to victory with the slash by Clarke on Kharlamov. It's clear the Russians were cheating like hell, and we still won. And oh year, this is for the other pussies who complain that we cheated in the 87 Challenge Series. FUCK YOU.

  • After watching this. the cold war feeling, the emotions, the war on ice. I'm not so sure I should annoint Sidney Crosby's overtime goal the greatest canadian goal of all-time. I think Sid's is still 2nd greatest. Henderson's is still 1st. Crosby's was on home soil and all but this was our national sport on the line. But I guaren fucking tee that if this tournament was played in april (playoff time) and bobby orr was here. THis would'nt of been close, not by a long shot, canada was out of shape.

  • @evanderlazer

phil esposito still gets pissed when people trot out the "Soviet superiority" cliche

he counters with " if they were so great, how many PP goals did they score in a series with incompetent refs? we could've played another 20 games, and the commies wouldn't have won a single game"

and he still calls them Commies

  • @hockeybooks that's because hey were commies. do you refer to nazis as nazis or germans?

  • i agree especially about Bobby Orr playing AND Bobby Hull as well...Tretiak himself wrote some yrs later that he was so relieved that Hull didn't play cause he literally could not see Hull's shot (which means they would killed Russia on the powerplay especially with Orr and Hull together).also i'd put Mario's goal in the 87 canada cup right there with Crosby's that Red Army team in 87 was (i think ) alot better then the 2010 American team but Crosby's goal was in OT which makes a big impact

  • @evanderlazer , in 40 years, Crosbys goal will be forgotten, hendersons goal will still be "the goal"

  • @evanderlazer Crosby's goal didn't have all the political garbage surrounding it that Henderson's did. The 1972 Summit Series was "war on ice" of "us" vs. "them." Today, we just don't have that anymore, which is actually a great thing. Had Crosby not scored, it would have been annoying if the USA did win, but nothing like if Canada hadn't won in 1972. "Ways of living" were being contested through a hockey game, which made it so political and "pride-filled." So in this way, 1972 was much bigger.

  • @jazzguitar2010 thankx for basically repating what I said, SFD

  • @evanderlazer Well, somebody had to do it, your writing was so bad.

  • @jazzguitar2010 Do you want a cookie? Tell me your address where you live and I'll send you a cookie.

  • @evanderlazer You're the one that came back with an insult, I had never meant any harm in my initial comment, and you called me an SFD. Why? Why be hostile when all I was doing was further commenting on what you had said? What you said hurt me, and I it was uncalled for.

  • @jazzguitar2010 aww you want a hug?

  • @jazzguitar2010 well Crosby is not US so he kinda represents the opressed and poorer folk and the Muslims

  • @evanderlazer It would have still been a tough series, the Russians are no slouches. I think we would have won by a larger margin vbut it wouldn't have been a cake walk.

  • @evanderlazer Marcel Dionne and Bobby Hull also didnt play. With them as well it definitely would not have been close.

  • im a proud canadian

  • Who was the guy in the red suit giving the finger while walking off the ice with eagleson? Loved the way goldsworthy was giving the Italian salute when Paul scored the game winner ! Clarke came into his own this series , it put him on the map as a great player, he later went on to win the MVPin 73 and gave this Flyers fan a lot to cheer about in 22 months.

  • @MFIORE7511 If the players knew then how badly Eagleson was ripping them off they would have let the Russians take him.

  • @1:31, that guy LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE TOM HANKS!!!

  • If i ever find myself starting to pussy out and play ruskie hockey I will quit this game all together and i love this game. There might be a few different ways to play this game but I play it the best way and that's pure Canadian gritty hard nosed blue collar no short cuts 100% pure heart hockey

  • although the Red Army team was indeed a monster of pure hockey skill and talent...they did get a small break in not having Bobby Orr AND Bobby Hull as part of Team Canada...Tretiak himself said yrs later that he could never see Hull's shot (it was that fast and hard lol) and just put himself in position were hopfully it would just hit his body somewhere (vlad had guts and skill)

  • USA beating them was way better.

They said team canada was fighting the police, that never happened

  • LOL "GOD IS CANADIAN!"

  • were they fighting at the beginning? or just trying to get the puck!?!?!

  • This was World War III. You will never see a sporting event like this again. The geopolitical atmosphere at the time created a true hatred beyond your typical sports rivalry.

  • 3:38 lol check out the guy with the yellow sweater by the left of the video, look how fast hes moving flailing his arms around, lmao my god

  • hahahahahaha nice catch lmfao

  • and lol you're the guy who recorded that video 10 seconds before crosby scored the golden goal. Funny i just watched that video earlier today lmao. COINCIDENCE?!?

  • wtf are you even talking about? i didnt record any video

  • uhhhh mah bad. you just favourited it on your channel i thought you recorded it : \

  • oh lol i get what you mean now, i didnt understood what you meant, its all cool

  • lol ye, i'm from hamilton and my parents said they got to stay home that day to watch the game

  • THE defining moment in hockey.

  • canadian circus with pigs in europe ....

  • Russian cheaters.

  • @socalero u dont fucking know ur history, russia has 16 and canada has 24 dumbfuck. And btw...juiors do count dumbfuck, its just the world cup of hockey that doesnt, ignorant dicknose...how can it be ur game, if u dont have passion for it? And btw, ur team going to the olympics is not good at all...ignorant piece of shit

  • I just wish Bobby Hull could have played in this series. Canada did not need him but still...his slap shot was awesome. Even if it didn't go in, Canada would have burried the rebounds.

  • @6tbonemmvn77 i agree 100%.....Tretiak himself said that Hull not playing (not to mention Orr) probably gave the Soviets a slight edge.

  • we own the game we invented it were the best at it and its are game all ways was all ways well be

  • russian has began its rule in international play again how long would they last, they beat canada twice in the world championship 2 stright years and they have a great team going in the the olympics in 2010. Who wills stop them before its too late.

  • Canada stopped them. :)

  • @seronic yea thats true i am canadian so im proud that canada won but i dont mind seeing a great team like russia who has good hockey history in the making after 2 wins in a row against canada and then maybe if they had won the olympics this year this might kick of there rule over hockey. So i want your opinion why russia lost?

  • Russia didn't show up. They weren't ready for the physical game that Canada brought. If they would have adjusted to it -- it would have been a different game. Goalies don't help either.. If your goalie shows up (any team), you have a great chance to win. Granted, he had no chance on a lot of those shots. Canada VS Russia hockey is always different than any other teams playing. Canada ups their game for it. World championship we lost, but completly outplayed them (Hot goalie won). ;)

  • @seronic Well i think they did not put on a good enough roster maybe, like i think Yashin could of done well or even Zubov, he has been great for dallas stars when he was with Dallas. Now if Khabibulin did not get injured i think it could of been a different story

  • @okpapereat - don't you feel like a retard! Canada spanked those russian bitches!

  • Gold or nothing in Vancouver

  • YOU SUCK!

  • they need to bring Phil Esposito in so he can put those vancouverites in their place again. it's such a bitch town.

  • I'm from finland, fuck it, I LOVE CANADA. Olympic gold medals were worthless before 1990's.

  • I got shivers...

  • how many of the other 50+ team canada clips did you check out ?

time to brush up on your history, before the Olympics

  • @kayerandomness same here bro (to your comment "i got shivers" from the 72 summit series video) being canadian is the best feeling in the world

  • @kayerandomness I still cry when I see us win...

  • miracle on ice: Canadian version

  • nooooot even close!

this is the same exact soviet team that team USA beat and they were a bunch of college kids

last time i checked this team canada had 16 future hall of famers! no where near the same accomplichment

  • america beat them 8 years later but that was only one game which they had a hot goalie, that game had nowhere the intensity of this series.

  • @goLEAFSgotc17 - check the line-ups out; this is not the same exact team! There are only 6 players who played on both teams. And it was only one game! If they played 20 more games, I don't think the Americans would have got another win!

  • Not a miracle on ice. This was Canada's best againsts Russia's best. This was a hard fought series, and just snuck out with a win. The reason the american one was a miracle is because it wasn't their pro's playing. (Why do you think Canada boycotted winter olympics (hockey) 2 times in a row after this? ~

  • @seronic - this wasn't Canada's best; no Bobby Orr or Bobby Hull.

  • @grimdetermination the best who werent injured... Durp.

  • @hockeyman134 Lawl. You have that backwards.

The Summit Series was before the miracle on ice, so the miracle on ice is America's version of the summit series.

  • @xBLaCkHaWkS dumbass, put things in context before you make a complete fool of yourself.

p.s. enjoy your littler american midget Patrick Kane you son of a bitch, the Canadian Jonathan Toews won MVP and Olympic gold you yankee homo.

  • @hockeyman134 , this was no miracle for Canada, the Canucks were expected to murder the Russians. The fact Russia showed the world that they played the game at such a high level made 72 Russia's miracle on ice if u wanna call it that.

  • @hockeyman134 You mean The ORIGINAL Miracle. Right?

  • I'm an American born in 1977 and I got fired up watching this video. When Henderson scored, I thought to myself "Suck on that, you Communist bastards!"

  • Wow, I didn't know it was this intent. This is proof that sports is important or is meaningful in society.

  • Comment removed

  • i hate those commies

  • I wonder what would've happened if the guards had taken Eagleson completely out of the building. There are all sorts of possibilities, all of them probably quite unfriendly.

  • Wow, what a bunch of cheats!!! The Ruskies cheated their way to the Gold Medal in basketball that year too. Disgraceful!

  • @Cuteguyfl like how the candian player held tretiak down for 20 sec in vancouver was not cheating

or how he slashed knavnov skate intetionally to get him out of the seris

i respect the russian in this seris though i am candian becasue they were the underdogs and proved to the world how good they were

  • Russia is a bitch and always has been

  • isn't part of this in that i am canadian anthem... the one that goes i know who i am. i am canadian.

  • This series was so crazy~ Both teams were EXTREMELY dirty. Canada was dirty as fuck, and soviets were dirty as fuck. It's to bad I wasn't around to see it -- would have been great.

  • Far be it from me to defend Clarke; yes, it was a dirty move, but all I am saying is that he made no move to hide his dirtiness, unlike the Russians who were consistently sneaky about the spears and slashes they committed, and probably still profess innocence about them.

Yep, Espo's leadership was outstanding as well as inspiring, both on and off the ice. No question about that. Henderson, too, rose to the top with the goals he scored. Pity Harold Ballard didn't give him any respect.

  • @WpgLwr007 yes ..no doubt about it..Espo really stepped up in this series (especially in the absence of Orr and Hull) this series was probably his best hockey period...and a great example to the next generation of players in the 80's who (except for 81) would also put the boots to the Red Army (lol but it was never easy)

  • lol, he swung at the ref. 2:02.

  • "GOD IS CANADIAN" lmfao!!!!

  • ...with telephone calls in the middle of the night, telling the Canadians they couldn't being their wives to Moscow, "misplacing" the food and beer the Canadians brought with them -- all designed to intimidate the team off the ice.

Face facts -- the Russians were ALWAYS pro calibre players, even in the Olympics (and not only in hockey either); they just didn't have a pro-type mechanism (playing for cash) as the West understood it, so they could make the claim that their players were amateurs.

  • Sure, what Clarke did could be considered unsportsmanlike, but it was no more unsportsmanlike than the Russians constantly jabbing and spearing the Canadian players in all games. The only difference is that Clarke was so obvious in what he did, while the Russians at least had enough finesse to hide what they were doing.

Let's not forget all the cheating the Russians tried to do off the ice -- trying to substitute referees at the last minute, psychological warfare against Team Canada...

  • Sorry WpgLwr007, in attempting to defend Clarke, like Kharlamov, you have no leg to stand on. Please...don't even go there. This series was Esposito's finest hour. Le Leader he definitely was.

  • DA DA CANADA!

    NIT NIT SOVIET!

  • J.P. Parise may be the funniest man alive for what he did there.

  • sorry 1:57 - 210

  • This reminds me of the time the US boxing team went to Cuba. The officiating was of the same quality.

  • russia is better, who won gold medal/??, russia won gold medal for like 40 yrs in a row haahha, usa got lucky in 1980, russia won 5 times b4 that and 5 times after that, domination

  • the olympics wouldnt allow the pros who play in the nhl to play, so thats why they had the summit series so the best players of both nations could play each other.

  • Who cares about the USA...Canada has beat Russia over and over. BTW...5 plus 5 is only 10.

  • im talking about the olympics, canada won it in the fkn 1920s ahahahhaha, russia shits on canada all day

  • Dope is giving you serious memory loss, Troll...Canada won gold in Salt Lake....Russia didn't even make the top 3.

  • yea their first win in 50 years, big deal

  • iDuffdabestweed, u dirty commie

  • russia only won gold all those years because pros weren't allowed in the olympics. that was the whole point of this series.

  • wow ur such a rookie, russia was never pro either, they were all in the army and had to serve military duty, i seen a documentary and while america and canada had the best facilities and every1 catered to them, the russians had to search the ground for bread and were poor as fuck

  • those stupid russians try to fix the game with refs

  • talk about a hockey country, canada, kids get to watch the series at school

  • thats f**king right. canada owns

  • Russians tried to cheat in the final game but it was Clarke who purposely injured the Russians best player earlier in the series taking him out of the series... think about it.

  • I'll think about it, fuck you.

Where were Orr and Hull? Think about that you cheating russian motherfucker.

  • They cheated in every game that was in Russia, not just the last game. They tried to stab Bergman out of the series and they failed, they even tried to wrap their stick around Espo's neck to get him out of the slot and they failed. They wanted to choose the refs and leave Canada out of that and yet they still lost.

  • We won, I love this, hahahahahaha

  • So, why isn't Paul Henderson in the Hockey Hall of Fame? Also, where were YOU when he score the winning goal? Russia cheated, intimidated, and still got their butts kicked. Da, Da, Canada. Nyet,Nyet, Soviet.

  • Soviets were cheating but CANADA STILL WON!!!!!

  • Blah blah, Soviets lost, we won.

  • there ya go boys and girls. Canada 72 was simply the greatest team ever assembled. and no Orr, imagine the possibilities. Gawd its awesome to be Canadian and own the hockey world.

  • Has Henderson had to pay for a meal in

    Canada ever since then?

  • Commentators believed that constant slashing of Kharlamov was in order to neutralize his goal scoring threat. Years later, John Ferguson, Sr., an assistant coach with Team Canada, was quoted as saying "I called Clarke over to the bench, looked over at Kharlamov and said, 'I think he needs a tap on the ankle.' I didn't think twice about it. It was Us versus Them. And Kharlamov was killing us. I mean, somebody had to do it."

  • Please purchase my book on the very beginnings of the Soviet Hockey Dynasty. Please. I think that you will enjoy it. It is entitled: MAGICIANS ON ICE.

  • In game six of the fiercely fought series, Canada's Bobby Clarke, of the Philadelphia Flyers, slashed Kharlamov on his left ankle, causing a fracture. Although Kharlamov bravely continued in game six, he was unable to play in game seven and was ineffective in the final game. Some observers say that this injury was a crucial incident which turned the tide of the series in Canada's favour as they entered it three games to one in the series.

  • What a peace of propaganda shit !

  • YEAH KAPITALISTS!! BURN HUMILIATION

  • The series turned in Canada's favor in game 6 when assistant coach Joe Ferguson deliberately ordered the slashing of Kharlamov by Bobby Clarke. That crippled the USSR. Kharlamov was the best player in the world, and he was just killing the Canadians. His slashing was one of the most deplorable moments in the history of sports. In my opinion, the Canadians cheated to win, and could barley do that!

  • In your opinion Canada cheated? Hockey is a violent sport, slash here, slash there, big deal, I think its great they took out Kharlamov, shows our countries passion for the sport. If you don't like it, go back to the baseball field yank.

  • Your team cheated, and in an act of deplorable desperation, took out the best player in the world. Bottom line: Canada cheated to win. That is shameful. The Soviets were the best!

  • You gave me a good laugh. In a way, it only made it fair. Did you forget that Bobby Orr probably the greatest player in that time, didnt play the whole series? If he did, I think Canada would have win the series more easily than they did.

  • Bobby Orr was slightly over rated. The Montreal Canadiens proved that practically everytime they went up against the Bruins. This was especially true with regard to the playoffs. Bottom line: The Soviets had the greatest dynasty in the history of hockey, with the Montreal Canadiens a close second.

  • Hey, "please buy my hockey book" guy...A guy named Jean Beliveau also happened to write a book you might want to read sometime...He devoted a whole chapter to a guy named Bobby Orr...In a book about JEAN BELIVEAU...Besides holding Beliveau's opinion over "who are you again?", I'd seen Orr play on a few occasions and I can assure you he was definitely not overrated. Saw Kharlamov 2nd game in 72 at the Gardens...Looked like Cournoyer.

  • with montreal canadiens as a second?hahahaha, well there is no such thing as Dynasty in Soviet Hockey PERIOD.and you dare to say that Montreal Canadiens are as a second??hahaahaha,,man its like saying cochroaches taste better than apples.i dont mean that they were cockroaches but the comparison is ABSOLUTELY INSANE.

  • Everyone in Canada will agree with you that Bobby Clarke is a douchebag and didn't deserve to be on that Canadian team. But if you claim that the Soviet Union couldn't win without their star player, then they're not really the best, are they? Canada won the Summit Series in the end, get over yourself.

  • Canada cheated to win. Their victory was hollow. Even Eagleson said prior to the series, "Anything short of an eight game sweep will be a defeat for us" Using his own words, Canada lost several times over!

  • omg come the fuck on you retarded piece of trash, i cant even debate that its so pathetic.. id like to smash your fucking face in with my fist, anytime buddy

  • I wish you had never been born. You should have been aborted with a coat hanger. Your life is meaningless. You should commit suicide. Your life has never, does not matter, and will never matter, even if you live to be 100. Do everyone a favor and commit suicide. Please commit suicide. You don't matter. You are less than nothing. Nobody would have cared if you had never been born. You don't matter. Please commit suicide. You are a living argument for birth control.

  • almost 36 years later, and people like you are still crying over it. But hey, if you want to see a crushing defeat, google the Canada-Russia Super Series (Tertiak's genius idea which saw Russia go 0-7-1 against Canada).

  • The correct spelling is Tretiak. Those Russian players were no where near the calibre of those of the Soviet era. Deep down, in places you don't dare talk about, you know that to be true. You see, all of Russia's best were drafted by NHL teams. Why do you think this is?? Hmn..... Could it be becasue they are the best hockey players in the world. Far better to those of Canada!

  • Well, since you want to talk about NHL drafts..

    2007: 102 Canadians drafted, 9 Russians drafted

    2006: 84 Canadians drafted, 15 Russians drafted

2005: 105 Canadians drafted, 11 Russians drafted, and the trend goes on...

I'm agreeing with you that Soviet hockey was very good, but not "far better than Canada" as you put it. Also, congratulations on the 2008 IIHF World Championship Gold, team Russia deserved it.

  • You are a good and decent person. You know a great deal about hockey. however, in the 1970's, the NHL was more than eager to draft all of the Soviet players. In fact, Tretiak was drafted by the Canadiens, my favorite NHL team, in 1983, and they begged the Soviets to let him go. Unfortunately they didn't. Had the Habs had him in goal, they would have dominated the NHL in the 1980's like they did in the 1970's.

  • Oh my lord get over it you baby, and stop crying. Canada won Russia lost end of story, and no matter how much you whine, complain, gripe, and cry, nothing is going to change.

  • This is the text from wikipedia, I am not crying, just telling u that u wasnt better just bigger faggots, as u have always been.

  • Dude you live in Slovakia you have NOTHING on Canada.

  • I have something, I hate cheaters in sport, I hate politic in sport, I hate paid refs in sport. Its sport, and it should be fair fight on the pitch.

  • fair is diving. fair is intimidation by the army? even this long after the fall of the union you obviously don't understand freedom and fairness.

  • SWALE1984 , Canada didnt cheap, u comies did, by fixing the officials, because u know u cant beat Canada fairly, ignorant fuck, and if russia is better than Canada why is there over 45% more Canadians in the NHL than russians? we run your shit, go invade some country communist

  • russians only started coming to the league in the early 90s late 80s cuys they werent allowed to defect, and the nhl is a north american league, russia has its own hockey league and those teams can compete with the nhl and beat them, why would they want to leave their home country to come play in the nhl, the nhl pays much less and the russian league is tax free, ur an ignorant canadian pussy who is mad cus russians are beter than any canadian who just dumps the puck and chases it, no skill haha

  • well the Juniors are coming up, i guess we will see who is the better country at hockey...and yea u russians do have dangles, but u guys dont have any strength or hitting ability, which does matter, but u wouldnt understand, your a communist

  • juniors?? hahaha, fuck does 17 yr olds have to do with whos the better country//???, russia just beat canada in the world cup, and canada is the most pussiest country in the world, ur all dumb lumberjacks hahaha, fuck canada , they have nothing and are trying their hardest to have hockey, and they fail at that too ahahahah, buncha trees who dumo the puck

  • then you should beat us lumberjacks in the juniors no problem?

  • shut up both of you, Canada did break rules in the series aswell, Bobby Clarke was INSTRUCTED to injure the Russians' best player. Also the Russian elite teams pay much worse than the NHL and cannot compete with them, iDuff told a blatant lie. But it is true that the number of Russians in the NHL is still affected today by the emmigration laws formerly imposed by the Russian "government". Ultimately though, Canada is the better hockey nation.

  • juniors ? juniors dont mean shit...they aint pros yet bro...its olympics and iihf world cup what counts...

  • World cup doesn't count. No team has their best there. Only the Olympics count -- and World juniors. World juniors is everyones best representing their countries (With the exception of injuries, or those already in the NHL or equal league). World championship is just the countries players who couldn't make the playoffs in the NHL (And other leagues I'm assuming). But, I love the world championship anyway ;).

  • @seronic - World Cup counts! The World Cup is what the Canada Cup became. You're thinking of the "World Championships". This doesn't count as best on best; it takes place during the NHL play-offs, All the best players for each country are absent.

  • @soncalero - wtf?! IIHF world cup? No such thing; it's called the IIHF "World Championships", and it doesn't count; it tkaes place during the NHL play-offs. I think you mean the NHLPA "World Cup".
