Look at the evidence--you'll find that it is sorely lacking. There definitely wasn't enough evidence (no DNA evidence whatsoever) to convict her beyond the shadow of a doubt.

My only conclusion is that the Italian justice system is extremely corrupt. It seems to me that she is being persecuted partly based on the fact that she is American.
