  • swahili :) i wish i can understand lol :/ i luv it tho.

  • @yassovalley seriously? swahili? why is it a lot of times assumed that because you're from a country in africa, you speak swahili? We have hundreds of languages spoken in one country alone as it is. She's Yoruba, and I'm Ibo, we come from the same country Nigeria, but speak two different languages. Research before you comment.

  • @chigewe !!! actually no body has to search b4 they comment , and u could've say that information in a nice way , plus i was amazed by it , i loved it !!! , soo i don't see the reason that made u talk like that way in the first place !!! , soo WT if i assumed that !! i didn;t insult u or anyone for god's sake !! .. talking swahili is not a curse OK !! ... thanks for the INFO anyway !! BECALM b4 u comment :)

  • @yassovalley lets see....no one has to search before (b4) they comment, yet you think it's smart to make a definitive statement on something you clearly have no knowledge about? It's one thing to not be knowledgeable about something, we all don't know the answers, but to say"what if i assumed that" which basically means it doesn't matter ,clarifies that you don't understand, or realize that you could insult someone.

  • Strive to educate yourself, and try not to be ignorant before (b4) you comment. Thanks.

  • @chigewe maybe U won't be that negative if U try to c more deeper in WT i've just said&to add something called "Good intentions" to and btw Speaking any language on earth will not considered as an insult!!so wn some1 think that i speak (5) but i'm actually speaking (*) then i'd gladly correct them with a :-) face saying :- "No i'm from (country)&i speak(*)".

see? its more simple than u think . try to be more open :-) have a gd day !

  • @yassovalley I see deep enough to understand that assuming someone's language and making definitive statements are offensive, considering its based off of a ongoing misconception about Africa as a continent and its people and it gets frustrating after a while. Its not about Speaking any language or a language being deemed offensive. This situation equates to assuming something about people of a race, or a culture, that continuously is incorrect.

  • Swahili is most commonly spoken in eastern Africa and within those countries they speak many more languages, so when people continuously attribute this one language to the whole continent, which also addresses how people speak about Africa like it's a country and not a continent, you can now see why it gets upsetting or annoying. It end up feeling at the end of the day that a lot of people have so many misconceptions about Africa and don't take the time out to educate themselves

  • @chigewe AND HOPE THAT u r not gonna get the surface only from wt i just said .. and be sure that i understand wt u r talking about , its not even a place to discuss such a thing , i'll be glad if u still have moree things to say about it some where else , msn yahoo wtever , ok !! tc !!

  • @chigewe u know!!for me i don;t c it that way ..maybe to some other ppl !! &i know wt its like to be in that situation but in a diff. way,i'm from egypt (AFRiCa)&ppl assume alot of things too,but i don't talk the way u did, thats the difference, the way u trying to correct to other ppl their wrong information,it counts and it has its effect on ppl, like right now ,if i'm a narrow minded girl then i'd assume that the ppl in ur country r rude 2, but i'm not that stupid i totally understand!
