Indestructible FF7 Characters - Sephiroth vs. Genesis

Sephiroth is by far my favorite VG character. Villian or not he had a personality about him that was awesome. He was so confident in everything he did cause he was the best and he knew it. Even the designers of FF7 stated that without cheats it was almost impossible to fight sephiroth without taking damage. All in all his personality, powers, and skills make him #1 in my VG character list.

I also noticed a "Top Comment" by kirasaji that states "i would have like to see sephiroth's path of redemption from being such an evil character." I don't think its possible with him, but I think they're trying to do it with Genesis: first showing him in historical context with Sephiroth, his turning evil to find a cure, his downfall, and a hint at the end of DoC it may go further. It would be awesome to see him redeemed and would be a great balance to Sephiroth's evil. :)

@lightbrownwolf1000 that is a secret ending that unlocks when you play DOC twice. its a live action clip, with the Japanese J-Rock star Gackt -who they used as a model for Genesis and does Genesis' voice in the Japanese version

@MonkeyDeeLuffy1 yeah, but i wasn't aiming so much for the fighting in this one. i've done a few battle tributes, but i prefer to tell the characters stories. i'm glad you still thought it was good, even without a lot of fighting! ;)

Yeah, I like them all. Genesis is strange, but then he got to go crazy in a unique way. I think I would be a little queer if I were rotting to death too! lol This is the only character that is admittedly based on a real-life person too. XD

All in all, sephiroth would have been more respectable if he stayed sane. he was such a good guy too.........it's kind of a shame to see someone like sephiroth turning out to be evil, in the end. i would have like to see sephiroth's path of redemption from being such an evil character, you know? i thought him being evil was great, but when you get pulled into a story as good as this, you kinda have some thinking moments. anyway, 5/5 stars!

Besides, as an evil bad guy he gets to keep returning! lol

i'm not sure if you noticed that people around youtube and outside it keep comparing Kefka & Sephiroth.and they call Kefka, more succesful... i will disagree with them. sure Kefka destroyed more but he didn't survive death, unlike Sephiroth. tell me your opinion. oh and 5/5 it was Final Fantastic. :D

I don't know Kefka so I can't really give a balanced opinion. I think perhaps people are comparing different things about the characters - if destruction is the scale they measure success on, then they would think Kefka more successful....no?

I can't think of any free programs offhand, but there are free trials. They only last a month, but its a complete program trial. I did that and then bought the one i liked. You can edit the music as well as vids in it. I have Vegas Movie Studio. XD

I love how, purposely or not, the cutscene is blurred a bit so that the contrast between it and regular gameplay footage is barely noticable. Great job on it! Ever since I've beat this game (emotional ending...) I've been obssesed with "Even if the morrow is barren of promises, nothing shall forstall my return.)

Really? It's a great story. Genesis, Angeal, and Sephiroth grew up together. Genesis and Angeal are the first experiments - failures - that Hojo did, leading up to Sephiroth.

If your interested, my "Requiem for FFVII" amv is a chronological time line that has everything from Crisis Core to Dirge of Cerberus - in the order of events, not release dates. :D

well sephiroth cant really be beaten because in the original final fantasy VII cloud only beat sephiroth because tifa and the others helped him and in advent children the sephiroth that we saw cloud fight was a fake one the real sephiroth would have been more reckless,more powerful, and more world threatening like how he caused meteorfall.

I agree, the others did help. That doesn't mean he can't be beaten - after all, they DID defeat him. It just means he wasn't beaten in single combat. ;) I agree that in single combat, he is Indestructible.

In AC Sephiroth wasn't a fake, he simply wasn't as powerful because Kadaj couldn't use all of the Jenova cells - quite a bit was lost when Rufus shot the container. It's why Kadaj yells when he's in the church with the container. So, Cloud beat him, but he wasn't at full strength. This is how Square Enix leaves the plot open so they can bring him back, yet again...lol :D
