  • What kind of flowers did you use there at the beginning? I tried daffodils but it didn't come out as well as I'd hoped.

  • You kept on saying "and one more time". That's a little more than one more time.

  • Aren't you suppose to knead and let it rest???

  • "pain in butt" ... hahahahaha

  • Thanks, gonna start making my own pasta.

  • Excellent. Thanks.

  • Nice clean video easy too see .good clear voice. Thanks for the post .

  • This was so damn easy! Great recipe and technique video. First time to try it I nailed it.

  • I have that same food processor, isn't it awesome? Thanks for the instruction! Pasta has always been mysterious to me. xD

  • Thanks for uploading this video, very helpful!

  • Well that makes it look simple. Thank you!

  • Thank you. This is the best homemade pasta video ever!

  • look it needs to rest especialy if you are using normal flour but also you should be using 00 flour

  • Does anyone one else hear the chicken screaming? 0:44- 0:50

  • for fresh pasta 45 seconds in boiling water and about 30 seceonds in souce,,,great video

  • this food processor sounds likie small girl screaming

  • very good vid.. most helpful.. thanks.

    kiwi from nz

  • @daveh182 don't think your supposed to store it... supposed to cook it ASAP

  • how long can you keep the dough after you've made it and is there a correct way to store it?

  • haha the food processor sounds like a screaming girl

  • first why put the food proceser infront of the camera, second u look like ur crazy rushing just relax, third the dough needs to rest smart stuff!

  • ty for making this video

  • Works perfectly, but press the buttons like he does. You must use a LARGE egg for 100 grams of flour. Otherwise lower the amount of flour.

  • nice view lol

  • @maxwellengineer you typed that on an apple product

  • i thought you were supposed to put the dough in the fridge for 30 mins to settle?

  • @THthefirst that's pie crust and cookies, you don't have to do that with pasta

  • @only1Roxannie With respect, every chef I have ever heard to speak about this, including many world-famous chefs, say specifically that the dough should be left to rest for at least 30 mins.

  • @THthefirst you don't have to put in fridge, i guess it's up to the individual, i use mine right away and it's fine, and the chefs on chopped and the other shows where they have little time don't let it rest either, but ty for your comment, have a nice day

  • i wish i had that pasta machine! So that is about 1-3 servings depending on how you split it.....

  • Flour. Not flours.

  • @MaxwellEngineer It was really starting to irritate me by the end!

  • Good video! placement of bowl is funny and lent to it's charm.

  • how much flour? Great video

  • @rjravaz 100 grams

  • how much flour?

  • You're so neat!!! When I dealing with flour, my apron is always covered in it :)))

  • can we just use rolling pins?

  • that was cool!!! 8)

  • I got inspired to purchase my own pasta machine (just yesterday), since my parents love to eat pasta. Thanks for sharing this video.

  • You don't need a pasta machine. I just made fresh pasta without a machine and it seriously goes just as fast as when you use a machine. Just cut your pasta dough into some smaller pieces and then use a rolling pin to get them into whatever thickness you prefer.

  • I love that chef's knife...is it Wusthof?? It's GORGEOUS!

  • Yes please! What is the make, and model of the machine you used????

  • can we do that in a blender?

  • Thank you for the vidoe. I purchased a machine as yours, but I run once then to the fettucini adapter. Thank You! AWESOME JOB!!!!

  • what is the make and model of the pasta machine you use ?

  • @qwertyuaef

which makes it harder if the food processor takes half the screen

  • flours...

  • yo...is that a 9 inches henkels knife?

  • "How to make Pasta from scratch in 5 minutes"......... Takes 6:27

  • @superjezz YOU, are....a DICK! Figuratively, not literal.

  • @superjezz Stop trolling and go try to lose your virginity.

  • @superjezz I just fucked up there. Damn vodka

  • thanks you make it look so easy.

  • so 200g of flour and 2 eggs would double it? :)

  • Very Informative, I did not realise I was so easy ;-)

  • i made the pasta but when i cooked it it didnt come out in its shape it came out all mashed together and it didnt work wat did i do wrong?

  • @2001Rivera did you dry the pasta after you cut it? Homemade pasta needs to dry, I used coat hangers and let dry for almost a hour and came out perfect.

  • Pretty good, but i'd rather learn pasta making from the pros (by hand!). award winning chef Marc Vetri shows you how...

  • Comment removed

  • Thank You!!

  • you rock!!!!

  • hey that took 6:27 minutes, not 5!

  • I need a pasta roller I make it the old fashion way the may my Mom made it Rolling by hand... forever I enjoy your video nice job

  • nice, i have an attachment for my pasta roller that cuts the pasta when i roll it thru, and the first time i used it it was a mess, but when i tried it with putting flour on the sheets between rolling helped soo much.

  • this is a great recipe! i had a medium egg so it was too much flour. then i added more flour (too much flour this time) lmao, so i had to add another egg. well, ya guessed it, to much egg. by the 3rd time i had the dough just right! it was really tasty, and kneading was a breeze with my cuisinart! i rolled it out and then cut it with a pasta cutter. i was effortless! that flour trick was just the thing to keep my pasta from sticking together! thanks so much for sharing!

  • nice vid!!! made mine for the 1st time w/out my cuisinart. his time i will use it! so much faster and a better texture! thanks so much!!!

  • it's flour... not flours.

  • It sounds like a girl screaming at the beginning. Probably the egg

  • what kind of pasta machine is that? been looking for one, but there are hundreds to choose from.

  • @thatbastardson its one from robert dyas , they are good i have one too

  • nice placement of food processor after you used it....

  • @SeminoleWill

Yes who cares what the "placement" was SEMINAL-WILL? That quick formulae kicks ass

  • thats a erally white egg is that a duck egg?

  • i was looking for a quick and easy homemade pasta dough for a while now! thanks!

  • As you can see hes not that good at getting it into the hole. :0

  • all he does is roll roll roll but hey hes the roll model xF

  • you've just shot me man

  • WOW, thanks for shown us how to make Pasta easy as. thanks again.

  • Do I put in the oil or margarine in the water?

  • try to cook less amount of time, no more than 2-3 minute to become Al dente, and after cooking, you can serve it right away, if not, toss with some olive oil would be a great helper.

    Hope this help

  • how do you keep the pasta from sticking together after cooking? I made it and it came out wonderfully, but the pasta was clumped togerther...any advice?

  • @TheGinaj Before you boil it, put a half table spoon of margarine or cooking oil.

  • Good work. The Michelin star guys here use 250g 'OO' flour, 3 egg yolks, 2 whole eggs, small amount of extra virgin olive oil and salt.

My only suggestion to your method is to cut the long sheet in half otherwise the strands will be a bit long.

  • Ok....I just figured it out and It turned out amazing! Love it! Thank you so much...

  • is 100 grams a 1 cup or 3/4 cup?

  • Thank you pasta guy !

Anyone knows the name of the machine and where I can buy it? My grandmother used to have one she brought with her from morocco ...

  • @rafaelazulay My dad is Italian so I know what you don't know.. This is probably an Italian made machine "Imperia"

  • I made this! And it turned out really, really good. One problem, by dough started to dry out (this was the 1st time I ever made pasta). So I rubbed some milk on the part that was waiting to go through the machine, covered it and put it in the fridge. As I said, it turned out really really really good. THANK YOU PASTA DUDE!

  • Great video dude for sure. Once I tried to make pasta it took me 3 hours and it was a mess. You really did do it in 5 minutes. I bet you were kicking yourself when you got through the whole video not realizing the food processor was blocking half the view. You should have told the lady talking in the background the whole time to be the camerawoman. LULZ.

  • very good recipe but you kept on saying flowers...it cracked me up.Anyway, good recipe

  • Thanks for this helpful video, I am 13 and i did it with no problem!

  • You sound asian :P

  • Great

  • Great video Thanks for posting. im going to try this right now!

  • And a pinch of salt, if I may add humbly. :-)

  • @blondecat666 no salt! Pasta dough is made without salt. You already salt the water when you cook the pasta.

  • @OmgImSue Thank you, I accept it humbly and will make it without salt from now on.

  • Nice! That was awesome....thanks

  • Do you think i could do this (with another dish) for my catering exam? I have an hour and a half. I don't know what I'm doing for the other dish though :S

  • Wow! I have never had a pasta recipe actually go completely right from start to finish on the first try. It did take me more than 5 minutes, but it was still a reasonable amount of time. And the finished product was wonderful!

  • That was amazing!!! I am a culinary student, I start in Jan, and videos like this help prepare me! Thanks ;)

  • Cheers mate :) Good video!

  • Why do you keep saying "flours". sounds like flowers :S

Great video, it showed how easy it is to make this. Thanks to you i will now test this :)

  • OH MAN I SHOULD OF WATCHED THIS B4 I JUST MADE DINNER!!!! =)

  • looks very nice man.

  • how much flour is 100g 9( IN CUPS)

  • @foodomatic5000 100g is a litte more than a cup

  • @foodomatic5000 Firstly, a cup is a volume measure, while Gram is a mass measure. So depending on how you handle the flour, a cup is not always the same even if you use the same measuring device.

Secondly, it also depends on what "cup" you use. "United States customary cup", "United States "legal" cup" or "Imperial cup". They all specify a different volume.

Dont you think its time to do as the rest of the world?

  • yea ei! not take long! ei like it very much ei!!!!

  • Super nice...Great vid!!

  • Looks easy enough. I'd want to find a way to clamp that roller machine down to the counter top.

  • thats how jamie oliver does it

  • What is the name of that pasta rolling machine?

  • @KevinNYC3333 look like marcato atlas 150

  • Very simple I have made my own pasta for years and this is by far the best method I have tried.

  • It was 100g but the guy only used half the mix

  • Did anybody understand how much flour?

  • @joecwalesgmail 100g

  • Brilliant!! Thank you very much! I tried and it was the easiest with the best result!!

  • u dont have to be italian to make pasta --;;

Thanks so much for simplifying this more me!

  • this is so much easyer than traditionaly doing it with your hands

  • I use the kneading cycle of my bread machine. (Complete decadence) XD

    Now I see a better way. !!

  • Yo i just learnt how to make pasta at college today. this video is great almost identical to the way we were taught. Nice video dude =D

  • So

    100g Flour

    1 Egg

Thats the ratio that he uses for his pasta. Its so easy and simple!

  • This is officially my favourite way to make pasta! So quick and easy!

    Thank you!

  • This is great. But wondering why you call it flours? and not flour...

  • I think hes Canadian. Its funny, i heard him say "Eh", a few times.

  • He's not Canadian, we don't say flours.

  • Well I've noticed how Canadians from different regions speak differently. Was just a guess. We should ask him.

  • We also don't use grams in Canada, we use cups when measuring flour, etc.
