  • Suze, I see someone else asked the same question as I was thinking- but I don't see an answer. If we dont want to use a picture from a magazine, and want to use our own personal pictures what paper do we use? I know regular photo paper will bubble up and printer paper will darken too much. What can I print my pictures on to use in my keychains/memory frames?

  • Hi Suze, I was wondering if you can you pictures printed on photo paper? These are wonderful art and would love to try it one day. Thank you for sharing them!

  • I noticed all of the "Clear" dries with a yellow tent. Is that normal or are you adding something to give it a yellow tent?

  • @GuitarMatician It is normal for the Clear UTEE to have a little bit of an amber tint to it. The longer you heat it, the more it will turn amber. Best thing to do is to preheat the pot first. Make sure you have all your materials ready to start your project, then put the UTEE into the preheated pot, close the lid and let melt. As soon as it is melted, pour it into the mold. If you pour as soon as melted, it will be less yellow.

  • Hi, I'm going to buy a melting pot, and I'll like to try what the vid is demonstrating. What did you pour over the image, and how long did it have to sit before taking the cutter off?. Also is it necessary to grease the inside of the cutter (using the Big n Bossy) before pouring??

  • @knowledgeispowerfful Clear UTEE was poured over the image. Time will vary for how long it needs to sit. Usually takes a few minutes to solidify. To see if it is fully hardened, use the back of a paintbrush or other tool you have handy and lightly tap the piece in the center. If it feels hard, it is finished. You should always grease the inside of the cutter.

  • @RangerInd Can I use a little cooking oil to grease the inside of the cutter, and what is the purpose for greasing the inside of the cutter??

  • @knowledgeispowerfful We've never tried it. Not sure if it might turn brown from the heat, so it might be best to stick with the embossing ink.

  • @RangerInd so, UTEE was poured over the image and is it like plastic or similiar to resin projects?

  • Thats the coolest thing I have ever seen for scrapbooking

  • wow wow

  • I love your Melting pot and UTEE! Thank you!

  • is UTEE the only thing you can use in the melting pot? or can you use embossingn powder as well???? i don't want to ruin my pot. i'd rather ask first.....

  • You can put Ranger's regular embossing powder in there; but you will need more, since that powder is more fine.

  • @RangerInd Thanks for sharing. Is flocking powder the same as embossing powder??

  • @knowledgeispowerfful Flocking powder is something totally different and is not made for melting.

  • You could try gluing a piece of velvet or fabric to the back with Glossy Accents to protect it.

  • I really LOVE this idea but what about the back? What can you use on the backside to protect the art from being damaged or worn out over time? These would make great pendants!!! : ) Thank You for sharing.

  • Suze you are great!! you make it seem soooo easy!!! congrats!! ps. love the utee!!

  • This is the best technique ever.
