Take my Saints for example that had the Dome Patrol Defense that were led by the #1 All-Time Linebacking corp in the late 80's and early 90's, they went to 4 playoff games in that span but did not get to the other round of the playoffs.

They also beat Minn in the 92 playoffs before losing to SF in the next round. Becuase there are some teams that are just shitty, teams that are destined for mediocrity. The lions, the Vikings, Jaguars and so on. these franchises can't get over the hump. Besides MCnabb is done, he's the best shot they ever had. If he lasts another season (healthy) I would be shocked. they are just one of those teams.

This highlight doesn't do justice to the body bag game. The eagles knocked every redskin qb on the roster out of the game. Brian Mitchell, who was the redskins punt returner, finished the game at qb for Washington. The eagles finally called off the blitz packages out of mercy while the redskins we're running the option with Mitchell on offense.

The Redskins beat the Eagles in the wild card game in 1990 before losing to SF and then won their 3rd SuperBowl in the 91 season. They also beat Minn in the 92 playoffs before losing to SF in the next round. They definitely had a few down years in the mid-90s without question but came back strong in 99, when the Skins again won a playoff game before losing the next round to TB on a botched FG. 4 playoff appearances with a SuperBowl win during the 90s. No good since the 80s?I think not.
