this was like the 80's....But even then, you can still see the trains were very decent. After viewing this video, you just have to appreciate the progress China made in the past 20 years. Nowadays, Chinese trains are still a convenient, safe and affordable way to travel around the country, but much much more comfortable..
i know - i've always thought that when watching these classic vids. very 1980s - but watching it does remind you of a world now gone - what with the advancesments of techonology and international globalisation - rendering many of these (hitherto advanced trains at that time) ineffective/outdated today.
yeh - the vid is about 20 years old - maybe a little more -altho i'm pretty sure this series was first aired on british tv during the period when the 'cold war' came to an end - around 88-90 ish
