  • Great video

  • This machine has a bootleg board and a bad reproduction control panel from Twobits.

.Otherwise, nice machine. The colors were still off, I will give you some more help later.

  • Do you mind if I ask how much you paid for it?

  • @SSHPCS2 $150

  • That machine is in perfect condition. Where ever did you get it?

  • @SSHPCS2 The guy who owned it previously was getting divorced and needed to liquidate. Let it go for cheap. :)

  • How do you restore it?

  • @Transam4000 Switches on the monitor. I adjusted the COLOR switch.

  • My friend's name is Rob, he went on several coin op shopping trips for his arcade den, and yep, he bought Ms Pac, at my insistence, he's even worked on it from behind, but needed a mirror to see resulting repairs on the image up front! haha

  • 5:00

But the ghost are just smarter.

  • hay got video of my ms-pac dont know if you look at it but do you know that the big white rectangal resisster at to board sould match stamp in back juat above the door i beleve ....any how i only see 4 digits you have 1 of the first 10,000 ms-pac made ,,there was a 110 made first year more then any other game histary ,,,my 53000 what you say Robert

  • are the dip switches in the same place on an original pacman machine?

  • thats beautiful!

  • btw rob, i dont have those games anymore, i axed PP and space encounters and sold the parts. i now have a dedicated pac, neogeo (jamma), gorf cocktail, galaxian, and a galaga in a pac cab (currently being redone to a galaga)

  • hey rob my pac is starting to do the same thing now, i was told that there could be a cold solder joint on the green drive transistor or the green gun is weak. uum mine had two probs contributing to it, cold solder joint on the drive transistor plus the Edge connector needed replacing. have you ever done an edge connector replacement on it? i would check your monitor for cold solder joints. is that a wells 4600 by chance?

  • @Bugsbunnyskooling101 I watched the video on your page and I've never seen anything quit like that. I began to take my Ms. Pac apart simply to adjust the color, that's when I got the idea to make this video. When I last visited my Ms. Pac, the color was looking good! I'm not familiar with replacing the Edge connector, sorry.

  • @RobBoudon My friend Rob has that fast speed, and it's REALLY already difficult going back to slow after enjoying SPEED!

  • you know rob, i was told by someone as i had the same problem with a pcb that i thought was making mspac red. come to find out the monitor had a short in the neck board causing it to go red. did you get it fixed yet?

  • cartridge was only the memory (ROM) and not the entire motherboard. But it is amazing how far technology has progressed.

But the old school electronics is just as fun and usually longer lasting.

Learn how to restore it and a new appreciation!

  • wow... something made to last longer than 3 years....

    take care of it! :D

  • Comment removed

  • id be down there all night long

  • Hey rob, looks like you have removed you pacman filter board pcb along time ago eh? mine still has it in it.

  • rob, just as long as you dont bring static shock to shock the ICs it shouldnt harm it. I have seen this particular bootleg hack on another board i repaired about a year ago. its compiled of 1 Z-80A, 1 Z8084-A and 2 sound custom proms, 1 maze eeprom, and two color proms for ms.pacman. Do you need the regular origional daughtercard and ribbon? i have one i can ship to you for 15$ working

  • Thanx for the offer. I don't know how I missed your comment a few months ago. Are there instructions online how to take a hack like this and change it back to it's original settings? I'm reluctant to mess with a hack.

  • looks like you have a different daughterboard hack on your ms.pacman that plugs into the z-80 slot. is that a different revision of ms.pac because it doesnt have the midway logo and 1980/1981, it just has 1981.

  • I would like to know what is going on with the board. I haven't seen one quite like this one before, but I can't bring myself to take it out and mess with it for fear of permanently damaging it.

  • wear can I get one cheap

  • Video Game Auctions

  • lol its like porn for nerds

  • you have a weird kludge hack done on ur pac PCB, the daughter card looks like one of those bootleg boards not produced by midway.

  • you have a bad cap in your monitor-that's what the dark bar going across the screen means!!

  • You can't see the dark bar unless you view it through a recording device like a camera or videocamera.

  • Incredible! still dream with having mine, but is a pain that is not obtained here original. I have a project to arm it. Greetings from Argentina

  • Your screen has a little bit of burn-in to it. You can see the maze on the title screen.

  • The screen came with the game and has been running since 1981. Someday, I'll switch it out, but it is a bit of a project.

  • I paid $775 for my Ms. Pac and love playing her

  • Pretty fucking sweet.

  • Wow. Tho think that now we can play those types of games portably on a PSP or DS. Hey could you post a video of gameplay of the donkey kong arcade machine? I love arcade machines even know I don't own any. :(

  • Of all the nonsense you see on YouTube - this video was an extreme breath of fresh air. Something interesting!

Thanks so much for posting this video - it's highly appreciated :)

  • Man, look at all those chips to run that thing. I bet the Namco re-issue's arcade board is probably little more than the size of a watch or something I bet.

  • nice!

  • how much the ms pacman arcadea

  • How much? Depends on many factors. Mostly whether or not the machine is working. Also, the cabinet, side art, lights, speakers and the monitor are also big factors. Most Ms. Pac-Man machines that I've seen which were in good condition go for around $800 to $1000 at auction.

  • spend at least $700 on your ms pac. i bought one for $300 from a washateria... it plays, but it needs tlc all the time. i wish i would of shelled out another $500 for a machine that didnt foul up once a week

  • huuuyy no mames we, que chido, daria todo por jugar otra ves la ms pacman en la version original

  • cool man, wish i had one of those

  • Cool! Thanks for the tour inside a cabinet!

  • That was awesome!

  • One small correction: the nintendo cartridges only contained ROM and EEPROM. The console did the processing. The gameboard that you refer to did both.

  • Tru dat.

  • damn u7 can acually aford a ms pac man? im poor i want my own copy of pong

  • ah...the old coin-op games.

  • Dude how old are u? The cab looks older than u are

  • Yeah, I get that... MS. PAC-MAN:1981 ME:1975

  • that is very cool. much better than even on a mame cabinet

  • Interesting stuff. Ms Pac-Man was and still is my all-time favorite game.

  • You should warn anyone who adjusts an arcade game display about the Very High Voltage present with the display both on and off.

  • ALLROCK123 - I think you just warned them... It's true though, be careful when handling machines which have electricity running through them.

  • Pretty cool!! I never seen th einsice of a old achool arcaide game before. A lot of work went into putting that together. No wonder they laster so long. I wondered about the settings and stuff I played Pac Man I dont know how maney times, and sometimes it would be like very differnt, and now I kno whow they did it. Thanks for shareing that.
