Its only standard and it did pretty well against an 8,000Rpm 1.6 with MORE Bhp, add a little chip to that PD and the Civic will start to sweat and sound like a noisy old bog-washed cat. Chipped TDi's are for those of us who like good acceleration but like to have a civil conversation in the car without ear defenders.

Seat wins off the line and therfore builds an andvantage due 2 its very high amount of torque. Its turbo also kicks in very early so it builds on its lead. The civic has low torque and vtec kicks in at bout 5500rpm then it owns the seat end of
How did the VTI beat the Leon looked very even. Around country roads the leon would be better because of the torque. Stupid race 130 bhp V 170 Bhp. Ecu update the Leon up to 170 and bye bye VTI.

The Honda weighs some 150kg less than the TDI and is more powerful (+10bhp)...what would you expect? Just put 2 or 3 extra passangers on the Honda to level things and see what happens...
This Leon is the 150hp TDI , and the Civic VTI is the EK4 its pushing around 168hp at the Engine that leaves around 152 at the wheels .. The Leon will have around 144 at the wheels ;) HONDA RULES !!! 4EVER :P
in the UK that Leon with them wheels/bumpers is 150bhp. I work for SEAT so i think that you will find that car is 150bhp TDI... unless the guy brought the parts??

Stock VTi is 158 bhp and weighs less. So really you shouldn't be surprised by the result! I'ld bet on the VTi beating the 150 bhp Leon as well!

Completely different cars.
Own a ABT TDI 150HP (now 175HP/380Nm) and it is much better at 60-140 than 0-100.
Honda, try to drive 225km/u for a long time and still get a gasoil average of 1 to 14. Happy times.
