  • Thanks! This was a tremendous help, and quite effective for marketing - just bought FTCA on iTunes;). Great stuff!

  • Best comlextro tutorials for sure!

    You've helped me a great deal :)

Check my channel to see my results.

    Thanks man!

  • You wouldnt beleive how long its taken me to find a video like this, Thanks so much man :)

  • Thanks a lot for the tutorial - good stuff! =7

  • Do what DjJudas guy wanted

    THAT WOULD HELP ME ALOT

  • and thanks!!!!

  • Hey guys, I've been watching Ryan's tutorials for about a year now, and learned a lot! Here's a sample on what I've done with a lot of the production techniques that he chooses

    /watch?v=NKyUF4ILEzE

If enough people enjoy it, I will make a step by step tutorial on how I made the entire thing.

  • @KickaOfficial I enjoyed it, now make a "walkthrough" :DD

  • And can you make the sound from ES1 in Massive or Sylenth?

  • Where can I learn sound design like you? So I can make my own sounds...

  • I'd use the dimensional expander instead of the chorus.

  • What bpm is this in?

  • @L1LL38R0R 128 most likely, as it is standard for house music!!

  • Can you use Native Instrument Massive in Abelton Live?

  • @smedina123s Yes!

  • @smedina123s yes

  • Love this guy. One of the only quality tutorial channels on the internet.

  • Is this Native instrument - Massive...sorry im new to this plugin.

  • you, sir, are a godsend.

  • Can you do a tutorial on how to make that stab sound on massive? cause i dont have that vst ):

  • The second synth the wobble one sounds like crap when i do it it sounds perfect when i press the key on my keyboard but when i put in the note in my DAW it just sounds like garbage any suggestions ?

  • Comment removed

  • how do you make the pluck/stab in massive like the one you did in ES1?

  • Hey guys I just started composing. I realize that a knowldge of music can only help you so much when using logic. Its more about learning the program and options available to you.

That being said. Where can I find this plug in and other additional plug ins?

  • nz, are you side chaining in most of these complextro loops in these tutorials. can you do a tutorial on side chaining ?? and explain the importance of this and perhaps, demonstrate side chaining done in a free plug in for those of us that dont have logic. i use stupid "maschine"

  • @ksnay1 logic is not a plugin its a daw if you dont have a daw i would highly recommend getting one. ableton or logic is good but if you cant afford that get fl studio and lastly reason

  • Great job!

  • hey goajs!

  • could you please put a download link for the patches or the file?

  • Thank you so much! You're awesome. This helped me a lot.

  • I luv u!

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! 8D

  • Is anyone else having the problem where their sounds do not sound like the ones in this video?

  • @vicandosc

    You should either:

    1. Upgrade massive

    2. Buy the software

  • nice one ! thank you

  • my balls are so wet

  • you sir are my hero :)

  • How can one man be so talented and so generous at the same time :) you could just make your music and make money out of it but you didn't... you decided to help out other (beginning) producers by sharing your knowledge. And for that my friend, i thank you!

  • @tommygg5 True that man!

  • Thank you very much! :)

  • I didn't come here to learn, I came to listen to the sounds you've been making.

Some sick shit going on there, good job, you're a pro at this.

I've also been making this style, and I favorited this video so I can comeback here if I'm stuck :)

  • any other alternatives to the ES1? im currently using ableton mate

  • thankyou , this helped me alot =D

  • wow... exactly what i needed !!

thank you so much enzed, you are the best, please keep on with your awesome tutorials :)

  • This is an awesome tutorial, I have one question though, when I make a good wobble sound and use it in my arrangement window it changes over time.

So for example when I loop a section it wil play 3 times the same sound and then the fourth time it wil morph/do a kindoff filter cutoff thing like its automated somewhere, but I cant find where and I started just with a plain sine wave.

  • @TheOfficialJorgalad try changing the LFO from sync to rate and adjusting it manually

  • @HeavyBawDeep Thanx, yeah I've tried that but its never completely right, You hear it only solo'd though. To bad Massive doesn't have numbers or anything with them knobs so that you can see on what setting exactly it is

  • @TheOfficialJorgalad record what you like down to an audio track and copy and paste the audio track

  • great vid. thanks bro.

  • i think what is wrong with me is that... i'm not using basses of the same genre of music.. nor am i making it trancy enough..

  • Thanks again dude i was really stuck.....not anymore !!!!

  • spot on thanx for making the time to upload this

  • @paulwall0007 thanks bud

  • DUDE! ONCE AGAIN YOUR MY HERO! OMFG FINALLY!! DUDE IM GLAD YOUR A FUCKING KIWI COS I AM TOO. Your so epic bro!! :)

  • more enzed complextro! you got a soundcloud?

  • Where can I donate/buy your stuff? Might be a wicked bad question.

  • youre vietnam:$?

  • DUDE!!! You are the most awesomnest (<---not a real word!) PERSON EVER! Thanks so much for your tutorials they've literally changed my production life.

  • probably the best tutorial on youtube!

  • You actually rock my socks so much! AWESOME!

  • Yo you should sell some of your presets!

  • thanks man! i'm a beginner producer and this was amazing how you explained everything step by step.

  • thank you, this is awesome!

  • Hi) Excellent lesson) Could you help me? When I turn off one of the oscillators and again turn on the sound changes. This happens also when I will restart the preset. How to disable this?

  • very nice thanks

  • Thanks from Australia you fucking legend kiwi.

  • thanks for all of your great tutorial's :)

  • This was more help full the half the the other vidz I thank u for ur time in making this tut

  • My comment might be small, but my gratitude is huge! Thank you very much for making such an awesome tutorial!

    Subbed! :)

  • @giranmoo2 cheers dude :-)

  • I know this is noob, but how do you get your prevent your kick from being drowned out and getting your snare to sound full? Thanks for all your help!

  • This was really helpful. You are one of the only people that talk during your video. A full scale start to finish tutorial would be awesome if you did it. It wouldn't even matter what DAW you used because they are all the same really.

Video 1 the intro, Video 2, the Drop, Video 3, The Break down, Video 4 The Outtro, Video 5 Complextro means more complex stuff, Video 6 Mix Down And Mastering.

That would keep you busy for sure.

  • @TheDjJudasX8 I think you also need to check out boyinaband

  • best music tutorials ive ever seen thanks man. any chance we can get one just on arrangements and different options techniques for arranging ?

  • that sound is on a vengeance pack:D

  • PLEASE REPLY!

With your 1/16 rate wobble, the pitch ends up changing throughout the song and it's bugging the hell out of me. Seriously, try the wobble for 4 bars straight and you will hear it changing and starting to sound crap. How do u fix this?

  • @AlpineViking91 go into oscillator tab, and choose restart by gate, experiment with the value to get the sound you want, or, cut the note into a beat, make sure restart is on, on the lfo rate, should work.

  • Ok this is where i need help! I don't have logic, ableton :[, i want to make that same dart stab sound that dirtyloud and those brazilian artist use that you make in the ES1... Can u replicate that sound in massive please i've never been able to get it, your the man keep it up!

  • Dude honestly your fucking awesome! I Love how you actually go into depth in your complextro tutorials rather than just saying "Make a bunch of different synths and randomly play notes on them" The whole variation between narrow and wide sounds is an awesome tip! Thanks a bunch!

  • This isn't even anything I didn't know how to do necessarily... but listening to your thought process as to how you go about creating each bar really helped me out as I have been stuck on a complextro track with a very similar vibe. Thank you for being so in depth, just watching you work, and not even copying your synths truly helps me progress as a producer/musician.

  • hey dude thts sick umm...i kinda took wat you did and added alot more to it...you should check it out:)

  • You are a genius.

  • bro, how do you make your kicks??

  • The perfect tutorial!

  • This is a great tutorial! the only thing is i dont have es1 because i dont use logic pro

  • can you do an electro fl studio tutorial, or say how to do a wobble and bass in fl studio programs?

  • @NEWYORKFX its the same idea just with a different way to get to it. use an lfo and modulate it to the degree and speed of a wobble you want

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH MAN this has helped me alot on making this type of music you are the best teacher ever!!

  • @lairdriver what the fuck does that have anything to do with anything? i asked our friend here i dont know who porter robinson is

  • you are literally the best teacher i ever had hahaha

  • I have a request. Hope you see this since its on ove of your older videos.

    But

    Dirty Loud remix of dinka

    right when it drops

kind of like darth & vader

  • where did u learn ur techniques? i mean theres no way u did trial and error, ur much too young. did u just watch other tutorials? or did u go to school for it? im just curious. books? videos u would recommend?

  • that pluck synth sounds so similar to the one in Dirtyloud - Ask the Right questions. sooooo sick.

  • oh, one question though. When you do a bass note at the same time as your kick, shouldn't it be getting ducked more? Or am i side chaining too hard and that's why i'm not getting the note to come through like it does for you?

  • Man, talk about demystifying massive! NI should hire you to do a web series or instructional videos. Hero status engaged.

  • Are the Es1 and 2 logic exclusive?

  • no dislikes, how it should be :)

  • waning!

    geniuos working!

man, u are probably one of the best youtube users

  • can u show how to make the stab u made in the one thats not massive? (es1) thanx

  • How come when I copy/paste my settings into a blank massive patch, the patches sound slightly different, even though the settings are identical? This happens repeatedly.

  • Can You make The Bass That balck eyed peas Used in their Song THE Time(Dirtybit)

  • @Nzmusic 101. Can you PLEASE show a tutorial soon how to make a snare like you do? You have shown a bass drum one that was really useful, may you please show me a snare? I am sure others will agree a snare tutorial would be nice :) thank you

  • Comment removed

  • THANK YOU!!!!!!!! YOU FUCKING LEGEND!!!!

  • What are the vertical bars you have in your sequencer blocks?

  • How do you duplicate your synth?

  • Thank you so much for your time and class, keep doing what you're doing man!

  • i swear to god this is the most i've ever learned from any video tutorial ever! huuuuge thanks!!

  • Do you think that you could show a tutorial on how to make the chords of life in Massive. It is in Get in the Cart, Pig if you need a reference.

  • Ryan, I don't have Logic, so I cannot do that sweet pluck synth. I wanted to ask you if you could make a video on how to make a similar pluck synth with Massive instead of the one from logic. Thanks in advance! :D

  • why not sure the step sequencer in massive? you're making it a lot harder than it should be. it's actually one synth with LFO's/filters opening up as it progresses. still great tutorial though. what kind of kick you using? I really dig it, cuts really well.

  • when you put the lfo onto the filter (synth 2) it's range suddenly changes from bright green to a modest grey-green ... what did you do there? or what does this do to the lfo?

  • And what is that at 5:25 ?

  • How do you use massive in fl studio?

  • I would like to thank you so much for these videos! You are certainly one of the most organized producers, you dserve everything coming your way my friend :)
