Indicates that there is a densometer on the blender unit. The same kind of densometer that is used to make sure a beer bottle is filled properly. It's purpose is to measure how much proppant (sand) is in the fluid.
Cesium 137 if you really need to know what the radioisotope is.
Curious.... does that radioactive sign at the 4 minute mark relate to materials brought in or materials that come out of the ground? If they come out of the ground, then where do they go? They are either left behind or put on someone's truck.
damn I don't envy you guys working in that cold, its hot as hell down here in the summer and cold in the winter, but not that kind of cold, ya'll ever get thru yukon oklahoma stop and say howdy...be safe and watch out for each other
no shit Im from Grande Prairie, AB and we get anywhere from -20 to -50 in the winter an it sucks being a fucking tester when its that cold and your trying to flow back a frac
I worked for Eddie Childs at The Western Company in 77-79 in Aztec New Mexico, worst winter in 100 years, -40 degrees plus in the mtns outside of Durango Co. As a worm I was too lazy to chain up "once", ended up sliding backwards done a frozen hill in a semi aircan, hauling frac sand. Walked away from that somehow! Pump'n gelled oil in the Lukachuk Mtns, burn'n Columbian in Cuba NM, Hwy 44 & 666, (10) 16v-71Ti Detroit Diesels @ 2500 rpm without mufflers, too cool! Red&Yellow ruled the patch.
Excellent video my friend, it has a lot of feelings in it. I worked as a frac engineer in halliburton and i could remember all the good memories with this. Thank you
did you get Klinkels consent to put this on youtube? Hell that old guy can't even spell it. I was part of the Gillette crew and got out right before they all left for ND, but they are the best crew I have ever worked with from every state I have been a supervisor in and that is a lot.
i worked out of vernal for years.. i recognize some of these hands... you caught the vibe just right. got laid off in Jan..and i miss it. it get in yer blood...
thats were i'm working out of vernal also Halliburton they got us up here in ND knocking out wells until this one. wireline already drop 2 guns down hole
Wow the memories. I worked for BJ outa Grand Junction Colorado yard and caught some jobs in ND. Was there the day after christmas and stayed for about 2 weeks. The coldest i have ever been in my life. To the guy who posted the video, at the end where you put the greatest frac crew to work with, I think I worked with the Jimmie. He was a rock springs hand, little guy, his last name was forever long. He called a girl a chubby hot one night at the bar, thats what made me remember.
nobody does it better then the canadians hahaha, we do it better faster, and we have nicer equipment. but working in north dakota was awesome best bunch of guys to work with wouldn't trade those memories for anything you guys are the best.
Dont get me wrong 190 bpm is impressive, but it is not the record. It actually is held by the Bryan, TX. District. 246 BPM to be exact. Remember, While high rate slickwater applications are new to the Bakken, they are routine elsewhere. Nice pictures, its good to see some pride is still out there.
Up here now for hill country, 1 week left!
