@imtboi She did a good job but Fantasia is the icing on the cake. If Oprah had good sense she would have Fastasia record I'm Here for the soundtrack and do away with Jeannette version. It's kind of like Luther Vandross and Dione Warwick's A House is Not Home after Luther sang nobody even knows that Dione originally recorded and released that song first. It's Luther's song like I'm Here is Fantasia's song.
Yea if she her stans thoght she was so much better then why their jealous behinds had to start rumors about Fanny being pregnant and Oprah and theother producers must be blind and death beacuse they asked Fanny to stay 4 more months on Brway and have asked her to do special run @the Kennedy Center in DC and guess who will be attending????
I was lucky enough to have seen it twice and yes I have the cd and I have it in my Ipod and Iphone too. I believe that in some points Fantasia does a better job and in others Jeanette is better. Nevertheless both are extremely talented singers. Both give bone chilling performances.
I'm sorry but I have to disagree. Listen to the way Jeannette sings I'm Here. Her intonations are softer and therefore she does a better job of bringing across the fragile nature of her character and the transsition she just made.
well that's your opinion..i just love tasia's version better even if the other woman did better than her (which i dnt think) but that's my opinion because im used to taisa's voice and i love for her to sing rough like that
I like Fantasia's version because she connects more with it emotionally. There's something raw and fresh about her version also. No disrespect to this woman who sings it on the video though...but I'm just not touched to my core emotionally as I am with Fantasia's version.
