  • so sad, especially that NOTHING has been done with that area. what a waste! loved that place. made the 1 hour drive just about every weekend from irvine during the summers of '84-'87. saw hawk dominate 'showdown at the ranch' and roll out the first 720 in competition at 'down south at del mar.' good times...

  • That was the first place I dropped into real vert! I remember my friend egging me on, then his amazement when I did it. Ironically 4 years later I was skateboarding at McGill's skatepark. The good ol' days!

  • what a waste, what happened there is basically what made skating what it is today

  • wow i'm pretty shure tony hawk is mad

  • I took pictures the day it was dozed. Also have some coping and tile from the Keyhole, Kona Bowl and the square pool.

Skated ther from 84 until it closed.

  • Post up those pix!

  • I still have my membership card from it. 1987 is the date on it. Such a bummer! I think it was the best skate park ever!!!!!!!!!!

  • so much history,

  • thats bullshit they knocked it down

  • such a mis. what have the location been used for since they thore down the skatepark ?
