Ahh, beauty, I can't believe I missed 4000 years in the make for free when they came to town, I saw a good 10 seconds of them, and I was held in disbelief that they were playing. Should have spent the time listening to them in the Hookah tent drinking mint tea :( May they live on! Such immortal music.
I love this clip. Look at Mohammed "Masmodi" El Hammadi with his gimbri, one of the greatest masters on the instrument in Morocco. And look at Mokhtar Jagdal dancing. Bought a drum from him once. His drumming and dance and laugh is formidable. And the taqtoqa on this clip is flowing like the Loukos river through the Jaballah.
