I disagree with this. Surely you could rescue more hens by having the farmer's permission like the BHWT does in the UK. They've already rescued 80,515 hens and they weren't breaking the law.

I disagree with the abhorrant conditions these animals are forced to live in, and the way they are slaughtered. The only 'humans' affected in this case are the perpertrators.

Nice one. Whatever the chickens fate of being let out and not used to the outside world, anything beats being in a cramped cage for life. Battery hens shouldn't be legal, it makes a nazi death camp look like a holiday compared to that.

More people should actively attack these places.

hmm i dont disagree man but i also kinda disagree because the poor chickens wont know what to do in the real world. i think that we shouldent allow people to run battery hen farms and it should be free range only. freeing the hens isent the answer. just stop your local supermarkets from selling aneything but freerange :)

we buy free range eggs, they taste better and they r from happy chickens, u dont have to be a vegetarian to appreciate nature. the truth is as humans we tend to ignore nature even though were part of it. enough of my rant the only people that will pay attention to it are people like myself. We have human rights but i think we should have living ones.

This did actually do a differnce!!!! a lot of people stopped buying eggs from this battery farm, i went to the primary school across the road and had no idea what was going on in that place till the uni students started protesting and appeared on the news, and i hate people that think their more important than any other living thing cause humans r not. and the truth is we do more damage than all the living things put on this earth combind.

Servitude. Making one do something they don't particualary want to do, and being treated inhumanely in the process. These birds are made to produce over 300 eggs a year, as opposed to the 20-30 they normally produce. This puts them under major stress. Your 'ant farm' example proves nothing. Insects are not proven to feel pain. Hen's are. Shamu IS a slave, though not to the extent of these battery hens. So shame.

How can you say animals are property?? Property is something material, animals are living things. If property is in reference to living things, then slave is the same term used for both animals AND humans.
